My husband and I visited the Ritz earlier this month and enjoyed most of our time on this beach. We were told, at times, that the waters can have a strong undertow and waves could be rough but while we were there there the undertow was okay. The waves at the shore were larger but once in the water it... More

Visited this beach as we were staying at the Ritz-Carlton. Waves are not too big here, so it makes it perfect for those who are a bit more apprehensive about getting in the ocean due to the waves...a lot of families here, but it never felt crowded. If you want to have longer walks up and down the beach, then... More

Great for kids, walk in, no rocks, unlike many beaches in the area. Trees, grass, showers, easy parking, still fishes for dad to snorkel with but mum not stressing about the kids getting dumped in the waves while he's gone! Some leaf litter on the sand bit no rubbish. Also coastguard there for peace of mind.

Read a magazine that said this is the "islands most popular spots, especially for watching the sunset." We went here today to watch the sunset & this cove points north with a peninsula blocking where the sun sets. Not the best pictures.

Very nice with clear water, but nothing special. I tried snorkeling there nothing and it was hard, for the tide was really high. Over all, nice beach but i prefer to go somewhere else.

Although we go here every visit to Maui, the sand is very much in its natural state (lots of debris) and it isn't all that attractive. There is a lifeguard station there and bbqs and restrooms, too. Parking is good, and this is a great place to begin a walk to Kapalua Bay Beach via the coastal trail.

Long broad sandy beach enclosed and not easily accessible. Makes it feel rather private. The water was rather quiet when we visited. Great possibility to see turtles - they get very close to the shore and you basically swim next to them when going into the water. a very special feeling.

This beach is special in that it has bbq's and picnic tables under the trees, above the beach. It is shaded for a peaceful meal, and you can watch the beach goers from your seat. The breeze coming in off the water is light and refreshing. Great facilities. Has a lifeguard station. Large trees in the parking lot that offer... More

Great beach on the Ritz Kapalua property. We swam morning and night - and enjoyed nearly every minute! The waves break right near the shore sometimes - and one of our young adults was mildly injured by the breaking surf (there also was a sign warning of this). Use caution right near the shore - we found it was more... More
