First of all, it's a little tricky to find this beach. It is just north of Kapalua, and you have to look to your left for the sign, which is heading downhill to the parking area. We didn't see it until we were already past it. There is lots of parking, plus bathrooms, picnic tables, and lifeguards. Part of the... more

During our week long stay near Lahaina, we were looking for a beach that didn't have a bunch of rocks and had some big waves. We read about Fleming beach and drove up Rt 30 and had a wonderful day. There was plenty of free parking. The beach was not crowded at all. The waves were big enough to enjoy... more

This beach is a bit of a drive (depending where you're staying), but it's definitely worth a visit. Fleming is a great beach for swimming. Lots of good waves, nice for boogie boarding or just swimming. There is a lifeguard at this beach, which is nice. Right as you walk onto the beach, the lifeguard stand has a board that... more

Beautiful Beach but... Don't body surf or swim off of Fleming Beach in November! As a tourist I didn't know to check in with the lifeguard and I ended up being carted off on a rescue board after the first wave picked me up like a tic tac and slammed me on my ear. The shore line has a 45... more

We have been to maui 8 times, and will be leaving at the end of this month for our 9th! Our last trip, we finally got around to visiting this most amazing beach. We always stay in the Kehei/Wailea area, so it is abit of a drive to get to this spot. But we loaded the car with a days... more

This was our favorite beach spot. Nice sanding beach with beautiful views. The water was great, snorkeling was great and there are plenty of amenities. A wonderful place to spend the day. more

We visited D. T. Fleming Beach twice during our stay in Maui. It's a great place for boogie boarding, with very decent waves. We saw a few surfers as well. We went on a weekday and on a weekend. It was much more crowded on the weekend and kind of hard to maneuver your boogie board with so many around... more

We just returned from our Maui vacation. We had heard good things about DT Fleming beach, so decided to check it out. WE arrived around 10 am, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The sand and the surf were great. Took a very nice walk along the beach and followed a trail that led to the Dragon's Teeth.... more
