this is a nice little company. remember everything runs on island time so if you are in a rush or have a strict timetable- STAY OFF THE ISLAND! It's all about the destination and the experience.

We booked this tour for our first day, and were signing its (and Gary's) praises the whole week. We had so much fun, we kept the bikes for the week and burned off much of the Mofongo we inhaled. First, the tour is tailored to your ability. I was having some trouble with my asthma, and Gary made sure to... More

We went on a bike tour with Gary and it was awesome! He met us very early in the morning and took us to a local little place for a great little breakfast before starting on our trip. Gary took us to areas that we never would have found on our own including the Sugar Cane Mills and the Navy... More

My friend and I traveled to Vieques last week with zero idea of what we were going to do when we got there. We met Garry at a pinxtos stand on our way to the beach (that was pretty awesome in itself on the first day--thanks Hector!). He was friendly and we asked him some questions and he gave us... More

We wanted to rent a kayak for 24 hours and the price was $60. Their website says they have straps to tie down on your car. we went and he did not have the straps but said to come back the next morning and he would. We returned the next morning and he did have the straps and he cut... More

It kills me to write this review, but I figured it needed to be said. I booked a tour for the BioBay tour which was cancelled because the operator felt the bay needed a break; it hasn't been glowing for over a month, there are environmental concerns. No problem. I didn't even re-book with another company bc I didn't want... More

I think its fair to say everyone who wanted a refund got a refund. Its also fair to say that if you really feel like we kept money of yours...you just have to call the number on the back of your credit card and tell them your story. Its odd to think I or the business need to keep your... More

I never thought I would write a review about a cancellation..but here I am, never say never... The other day I got an e-mail about my kayak tour being canceled so I thought it was a mistake and I called the Vieques Adventures Company; I found out they cancelled all of their tours due to the low level of bioluminescence... Booked tour for today. Heard bio bay is not working due to all of the rain and tides that swept the organisms out to see. Called Gary, owner, to see if we were going today. Without hesitation, he said no, he is in the process of canceling all of his trips. Wow! No arguing back and forth, etc. Gary is... More

We have visited Vieques two years in a row. Both times we have done the biobay on moonless nights end of Jan. The first year we took Abes biobay tour and the second year we took VAC. Our experience the first year with Abes was much better. Although I enjoyed the clear canoes because you really can see sparkles under... More

This review is solely based on VAC's customer service and helpfulness. Explanation: even though we pretty much based our entire PR trip around the Bio Bay Tour and were beyond excited to go on the tour, a huge brain fart (aka "vacation brain") caused me to mix up my days and instead of showing up for this tour on Sunday...
