Unusual and unique but great tea room

Would have loved to try Fanny's tree house, which we booked a few months ago. This was booked from a friends recommendation. Happily the staff took the £10 deposit. All seven of us were looking forward to a fun quirky afternoon tea which we have taken part in several time at other lovely places before. The afternoon before we received... More

Been going here since the kids where small so over 20 years now. The place is a step back in time and not as a fake recreation but as a Peter Pan of a bygone age (it never grew up). We took a Japanese student who was staying with us there recently and she said it was the image of... More

This was a totally unexpected delight. I can highly recommend a visit. If you want organisation and neatness do not go but the grounds are unique, full of what some people call junk and charm and cuteness. The pigs are gorgeous and the lambs adorable. You can get married in the tree house, have tea in the pudding room or... More

Drove 15 miles for an afternoon tea, the home website says last open till 6 pm last cram tea served at 5. At 4.20 we were told sorry no more tea being served, seems its ok to take your money at a time it suits them but not the customer. We wont be back.

Was disappointed after my visit as I had heard of the quirkiness of the place. Cluttered cafe with poor food. Belongs more in a living museum than as a cafe or farm shop. Won't be back

Quirky tea and cake shop with cheerful staff in a ramshackle hut. Aside from the occasionally chipped crockery, Fanny's is a distracting and charming little tea-and-cake shop where you can buy wholesome food, fruit and veg, and teach kids about where food comes from. Eggs are laid on site and you can even feed the chickens. Great for kids as... More

This is a regular mid-ride stopping point for a group of Surrey cyclists who always enjoy the tea and coffee and especially the wide choice of cakes.

My daughter booked an afternoon tea in the treehouse for my birthday treat. I have not reached the age of 66 without sampling a few afternoon teas and this one is very poor by comparison. For the premium charged for using the treehouse it would have been a nice touch to have waitress service. Instead we had to stand in... More

This is a very unusual place to have an afternoon tea, or morning coffee or a delicious ploughmans lunch. No need to book for the lovely little tea room, but you must make a reservation to have exclusive use of the amazing tree house which was warm and cosy on a very cold blustery day. The staff at Fannys Farm... More
