I was pleasantly surprised by the T. rex Discovery Centre. Yes, it's odd that it's a smaller building than the Royal Sask Museum in Regina, but it is filled with fun activities and dinosaur displays. Every display has colourful facts and information boxes that talk about the fossils found in the area, and even about fossils found elsewhere in the... More

Loved this little Gem. Easy to spend a couple hours there. Although a little off the beaten path, it is definitely worth the trip. Great for kids of all ages and adults too :).

I didn't have high expectations for this museum. For a dinosaur museum in small town Saskatchewan I was blown away from driving up and seeing the museum in the hill like a hobbit house or touching a dinosaur bone my kids loved it (age 18months, 4, 6). They had little binoculars for the kids to wear throughout the day. Scotty... More

Yes this place is not as large as Tyrell but it is a worthwhile stop. The staff are extremely friendly and informative! No charge to visit but they do accept donations. All proceeds from the gift shop go to providing programs for visiting school groups. Well worth the trip!!!

My wife & inlaws and I were visiting Cypress Hills, when my father-in-law put forth the suggestion of visiting the T-Rex center in nearby Eastend. I was delighted at the idea, as I hadn't been to a dinosaur museum since childhood. The museum was a nice find. I had no idea there were dinosaur bones found in Saskatchewan. It was... More

I'm not a big fan of dinasaurs but I figured I would check it out. Not as big of a place as I expected it to be. When you first walk in I was greeted and asked if I would like a guided tour. They have an area with fossils they are currently working on. If you have kids that... More

The weather was lousy(very rainy) so we did not get a chance to take walks outside but the museum itself was great-well developed. We enjoyed the short Scotty documentary. A great place to stop for a few hours or stay the night at a nearby inn.

This is a short detour off the #1 highway and worth the visit. It's a small museum, but there are good displays and guided tours every 30 minutes. There is no fee to enter but donations are accepted. As others have mentioned, it is smaller and doesn't have the numbers of dinosaurs like museums like the Royal Tyrell Museum. So... More

First of all the signs to find the museum were very clear and direct which is something I cannot say for many of the attractions in Saskatchewan. A very well laid out museum with many interesting exhibits. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I like the fact that you can wander on your own, take a guided tour or... More

The museum has excellent exhibits and active research center behind glass where you can watch the paleontologists at work, cleaning, categorizing fossils. Modern building, nice artchitechure, reasonable fee.
