Last spring I went on holiday with my friends, during an off-season period. The French people weren't very nice and only focused on commerce. The ski resort though was very good, thats why my review still gets 3 stars. The period I went was off season, but it was crowded with students, going on a break after their exams. The... More

The Avoriaz ski resort (part of Le Portes Du Soliel) is a brilliant ski resort for both beginners and experts. It Branches out to Chatel, Montriond and even Switzerland! I come skiing here every year and every time I have the time of my life. But always get a map it can get a little confusing if you don't know... More

In all honesty I am terrible when it comes to my skiing skills however I did not mind falling over every so often because I got to experience some wonderful views. The slopes are pretty hard on this mountain and not exactly for beignets but there are other places in the local area too which are better for new skiers.... More

I've been boarding most of my life and when I go I like to go high and all day - the missus on the other hand, does not. In fact she doesn't really fancy going at all. But now we have a daughter and at the ripe old age of 3 it was time to get her on the slopes... More

Avoriaz offers lovely wide open blue runs for beginners and intermediates plus more challenging runs for the more adventurous in the party! Perfect for the whole family.

As always, Avoriaz didn't dissapoint with ample mountain for everyone. I went for a short 3 day snowboarding weekend in April, and had two great days of snowboarding and one quite icy day. But as always Avoriaz has plenty of lifts, runs and cafes/bars.

This review is coloured by the fact that the both the weather and snow were about as good as it gets and the lift queues were non-existant. That being said the ski area has miles and miles of piste cruising, plenty of 'beginners' off piste and with an area pass which allows you to ski Les Gets, Morzine etc., ample... More

Love the slopes in this area. Plenty of variety and there are additional things to do such as the air bag, boarder cross and snow parks. The resort also has fab restaurants including changabang, the Yeti and chez flo - check them out!
