Good value. There is a video in English which tells the story of the town. A museum of fishing and its part in Dieppe. Quite a lot of objects. No real other signs in English but i was given an English guide to take around with me which was useful. Friendly staff. There are fish and other sea creatures in... More

We'd missed our train to Rouen so went to the Museum. You are given a guide in English when you first enter which was useful. The first section was a bit dry - about shipbuilding - but there were some hands on exhibits which my daughter enjoyed. It gradually gets more interesting about how Dieppe's maritime history developed. There was... More

Interesting visit about the maritime history and heritage of Dieppe, but don't go if you are expecting a load of aquariums.

A very good and interesting museum about the sea, fishing and boat building. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a big book on the various articles which was helpful. The beach with all the rubbish found was a real eye opener. There was a lift for my husband to use to enable a full visit. The... More

Friendly staff with good spoken English. We were handed a thick English guide/folder with lots of information in it. The videos downloaded via QR codes spread out around the museum were not worth bothering with (one of them ended with "wet paint" sign and doorway, made me laugh thou). However the yellow digital stand was very good. Overall it is... More

There are several sections to this museum (adult entrance €7), the enginering side of boats/boat making, models of Dieppe, lots of information on the fishing industry in Dieppe - with a little film, a display showing the rubbish collected from the beach/local sea area (quite eye opening) and some tanks with local sea life. We were in there for over... More

Overall I was impressed with the quality of this museum for its size. Exhibits on boats, fishing, and nature of the region are well designed. Personnel are welcoming, price is reasonable. The aquariums are very enjoyable and impressive if you go in with the right expectations: these are not massive top-notch displays (ie: don't expect to see sharks), but rather... More

Lots of ship/boatbuilding info and interesting to me as an engineer. The exhibit showing the junk thrown into the sea should be made compulsory viewing for everyone! The aquarium is small and slightly disappointing, but the place is worth the admission (€7) and this gives a discount off entry to the chateau.
