Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

The instructors at 40Knots are world class. A special THANK YOU to Jamal and Johan for getting me up and ripping across the bay on my second attempt at kitesurfing, and to Irene, Max and Susi for making it such a memorable experience. The setup at 40Knots is fantastic, an easy boat ride out to Green Island where you have... More

We (couple) had an excellent time last week kitesurfing on Green Island with 40 Knots Kitesurf School. The team were excellent - professional, friendly and welcoming. They were really helpful with setting up our equipment and even packing it away for us. The boat ride from Non Such resort was only about 10 mins and was a nice ride (a... More

I spent a week kitesurfing for a couple of hours a day with the team at 40Knots - they were all brilliant, accommodating, friendly and welcoming. I started out as a complete novice and by the end of the week I was confidently kitesurfing. They had an Antiguan instructor who was brilliant - great to see the locals benefiting from... More

The site is lovely, except that you have to pay an eye watering $35 for a 5 minute boat ride that only leaves and returns a few times a day. If the wind drops, you're stuck out on the island. If the wind picks up and you are on shore you're stuck. Zero flexibility on price. I had to grit... More

As a newcomer to kitesurfing I was made to feel really welcome, and was really impressed with the standard of instruction and range of equipment. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and were flexible with regard to wind conditions and my personal plans. Highly recommended!

We went as independent kiters to Green Island with 40Knots. The team is fantastic and the service was absolutely superb. We were traveling with our 8 week old baby and to meet our needs, they took especially for us a bigger boat out and helped us carrying all the extra gear. We really had an amazing day and would like... More

As a complete beginner to Kitesurfing, 40Knots at Nonsuchbay is a great place to learn. The winds are good, the weather great and the waters warm. The 40knots team are incredibly welcoming, and have taught everyone from age 8 to 80 to kitesurf. The promise is that by the end of 3 2-hour lessons you'll be standing up, and this... More

Max, Irean and the team do a fantastic job teaching first time beginners or helping riders gain that little extra confidence to learn that next trick. I first tried kitting at 40 knots in Antigua 3 years ago and I've been coming back every winter. I strongly recommend if your spending a little time in Antigua to visit 40 knots... More

Large area to learn protected from waves by a reef. Steady winds and professional friendly instructors in Zodiacs right there to guide you. Got up kiteboarding on day 3, and rode for 200 meters. Now hooked I look forward to going back for more.

Spent 3 days with our family of 5 all kiting with the 40Knot gang. Awesome instructors with an emphasis on safety. We had a blast and will be back.
