Description: Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with...
Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

The sole purpose of my trip to Antigua was to learn how to kite surf and my lessons and experience surpassed my expectations! The entire team was incredibly friendly and I didn't feel at all self conscious about being a newbie. My instructor, Jamal, was incredibly patient and professional and great company- which is important when you're spending so much... More

I didn't know I wanted to be a kite surfer when I grow up, but thankfully, we stayed at the Nonsuch Bay Resort and 40 Knots is located here. I ran into these guys at the resort and I'm so happy we did. My wife and I both learned how to kite surf. It's a great location and the instructors... More

We experienced 40Knots as part of a recent cruise. My daughter was wanting to surf and when we couldn't find a surfing option as part of our cruise excursions she decided on kite surfing. I contacted 40Knots several months in advance of the cruise and they were great to respond to me quickly and answer all of my questions. The... More

I had to get back to 40 Knots to really get some good instruction and some steady wind. I got both. Even though the wind was light on the first day, they had a 19 meter kite that got me up. Susan and Kris ( might be Chris) are the best. I left Antigua with new skills and two new... More

The instructors at 40Knots are world class. A special THANK YOU to Jamal and Johan for getting me up and ripping across the bay on my second attempt at kitesurfing, and to Irene, Max and Susi for making it such a memorable experience. The setup at 40Knots is fantastic, an easy boat ride out to Green Island where you have... More

We (couple) had an excellent time last week kitesurfing on Green Island with 40 Knots Kitesurf School. The team were excellent - professional, friendly and welcoming. They were really helpful with setting up our equipment and even packing it away for us. The boat ride from Non Such resort was only about 10 mins and was a nice ride (a... More

I spent a week kitesurfing for a couple of hours a day with the team at 40Knots - they were all brilliant, accommodating, friendly and welcoming. I started out as a complete novice and by the end of the week I was confidently kitesurfing. They had an Antiguan instructor who was brilliant - great to see the locals benefiting from... More

The site is lovely, except that you have to pay an eye watering $35 for a 5 minute boat ride that only leaves and returns a few times a day. If the wind drops, you're stuck out on the island. If the wind picks up and you are on shore you're stuck. Zero flexibility on price. I had to grit... More

As a newcomer to kitesurfing I was made to feel really welcome, and was really impressed with the standard of instruction and range of equipment. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and were flexible with regard to wind conditions and my personal plans. Highly recommended!
