Route 2 passes through the heart of Luxemburg’s Little Switzerland and offers most spectacular rock formations. Route 3 features next to the rock formations many stream valleys and romantic castles. The routes are all connected but can also be hiked separately. The hikes are all quite individual as departures can be undertaken from the various localities.Furthermore, the Mullerthal Trail offers four (smaller) tracks, the ExtraTours, which can also be characterized as very attractive hiking tracks. They can be considered as departures as well as additional tours when all the other hikes have been undertaken already. The Mullerthal Trail and the ExtraTours have been signalled completely which gives you a great feeling of security and prevents from having bad surprises. The Mullerthal Trail is leading repeatedly to beautiful view points and to natural and cultural highlights. Walking on the Trail is thus an unforgettable experience for every one.Children will love the region as the wonderful rock formations want to be explored and climbed. Parents of smaller children though should take especially good care and watch their children as security barriers are not always guaranteed.Attention: the paths can not be undertaken with a pram or wheelchair. « less

We walked route E1, starting at the busstation in Echternach, on the Route de Diekirch. Once you find the correct sign for E1, it is easy to follow, plenty of markings along the route. The start is pretty steep, and if you're untrained, you may wonder if you're going to manage 3 hours like that. Don't be discouraged and turn... More

I enjoy a fair share of walks, hikes and outdoor activities. This hike, starting in Esternach and ending in Berdorf, was such an interesting and diverse trail. There are three very distinct portions of the E1 starting with a steep incline to the ridge line. The view over the city is impeccable and worth taking a few minutes to enjoy.... More

We combined this trail in one day together with a visit to the old ruins of the fortress in Larochette, the castle in Vianden and the fortress in Clervaux. It was a really good addition to the historical places. It took us about 2 hours to walk to the waterfalls and back. We went there in mid-April and the weather... More

This trail is nice, but there are more beautiful ones in the area, especially trails where you don't have the noice of the nearby traffic. Beaufort, for instance, has a very "silent" and breathtaking trail, startingnear the castle, the Parking side.

We looked at pictures of this trail while planning our trip and knew we had to come for a visit. Although we had rainy weather, we still loved our time hiking through the rocks here. Well worth a visit!

Lovely fairly easy walking routes with some interesting rock formations. Take a map as there are a lot of interconnecting paths. We walked up through a path in some rocks onto a view point which was very pretty and exciting. Kept whole family happy - adults, teens and youngsters.

Plenty of great photo opportunities here. Spring or autumn are the best times to visit. Quite a few nice trails to follow.

This trail network provided days of diversion. Easy low stress hiking through varied and beautiful terrain. Access to charming villages and tourist attractions. We did a lot of walking from village to village on dirt roads through farmland instead of on the trails which was also extremely pleasant. Don't be afraid to get off the trails. The map was great...
