We spent a few hours here as part of our Asa Wright tour, booked by Caligo Ventures. The proprietor is justifiably proud of his photos and deep knowledge of hummingbirds but our birding group had already "met" these species at Asa Wright and would have preferred to spend the time somewhere else. The lecture and slide show were a bit... More

Visited in June 2015, so a slightly belated review, but a place that is well worth taking the time to visit. The trip has two parts: firstly you get plenty of time to relax in the garden and take in the beauty of the hummingbirds, and after that a light alfresco lunch followed by Theo's educational slideshow and talk. I... More

It was an awesome experience being up close and personal with the hummingbirds. Theo and Gloria are both amasing; Theo is so knowledgeable about Hummingbirds and Gloria's light lunch was very sumptuous. I trully enjoyed the experience.

Our tour we booked through Simone Claxton Destination Management & Consultancy, brought us to Yerettê, probably the best place to get a close look at hummingbirds. This is Theo Furguson's home, which attracts hundreds of Hummingbirds a day in his quiet garden on the hill. I'm not a big bird watcher myself, but I was amazed at the sight of... More

Yerette is a peaceful, quiet haven, nestling in the mountains. The silence is broken by the orchestration of flapping wings and delicate noises made by the many hummingbirds visiting it. To be in such close proximity to beautiful birds is an experience I will never forget. Theo Ferguson is a marvellous host and his short presentation left me hungry for... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Yerette - it was peaceful, funny, educational and memorable. I could not fault the experience on any point whatsoever. A great time. There were 10 of us in the party from ages 17 to much older :) and we all found it a fascinating experience. I highly recommend a visit to Yerette.

Theo and Gloria welcome you to their home which has become a haven for humming birds (mainly as a result of the abundance of sugar water/nectar that Theo provides in large quantities) If you are happy to be up close and personal to semi-domesticated animals then this will be a real delight. Good refreshments and Theo's very entertaining presentation style... More

Yerrette is a blessed and magical place, located at top of a mountain. Hummingbirds are everywhere, all day. From the warm Caribbean hospitality of the owners Theo and Gloria, to the wonderful snacks provided and non-stop Hummingbird action, I left exhausted and with some of the best shots I've taken! Thank you so much!

The location in a residential area will surprise you. This may be the best place to watch hummingbirds up close. I can't think of anywhere else that can quite beat this. The owner is incredibly knowledgable and inspiring. He loves hummingbirds. Maybe obsession is the word. I had a lunch and documentary viewing here. the documentary is a series of... More

We were welcomed by Theodore and his Wife to see the many varieties of Hummingbirds that came to feed in their garden every day. This was a truly unique and uplifting experience. Theodore gave us a very informative talk about the Hummingbirds, we were also given a light lunch. A pleasant way to spend time with these beautiful birds in... More
