The knowledgeable and entertaining Dr Theo Ferguson welcomes you to his home, where his garden and artificial nectar feeders attract hundreds of humming birds. Lunch included, which was just right, he also talks you through some astonishing photographs he has taken over the years, displayed on an HD large TV screen. 11:30 to about 13:45, a really excellent experience.

Yerette is tucked away in the Maracas valley. LOTS of hummingbirds in a tranquil setting. Very many varieties including several that will never normally be seen together in the same place. Would advise taking many photographs and focus on editing and selecting later. The Hummingbirds move quickly - they do not pose- and it is only on reviewing the photographs... More

This hilltop sanctuary was a real pleasure to visit and you will marvel at the amount and variety of hummingbirds here as well as be enchanted and enlightened by its host, Theo. Heartily recommend to birders and naturalists alike.

This is at a private home where the owner, Theo, has a beautiful garden with hummingbird feeders, and hummingbirds, everywhere. He gives an entertaining and informative talk about the little birds and lunch and beverages are served. It is a very nice way to spend a few hours in Trinidad. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

It is very personal not too crowded. You are allowed to take photos. The light lunch included was delicious. Very informative an interactive. Must do once at least. Good thing to do with foreigners or family visiting.

On our short visit to Trinidad my son took us to this wonderful place. The journey it self through steep winding mountains roads was breathtaking. But the climb after the silk tree would call for greatest driving skill. You see great many variety of hummingbirds up close and personal. It seems there are 13 varieties in Trinidad. These birds can remain... More

This is really one of the nicest places in Trinidad I've been so far. It's a private home with a beautiful garden with lots of feeders, so you really see lots of hummingbirds. Theo is a great person who knows everything about these amazing birds. Don't miss the slideshow, is absolutely worth it. If I could I would give 6... More
