On the last day of our vacation, we rented a small 15' Boston Whaler from Minns Water Sports. We were staying at Sandals Emerald Bay and it was about a 25 minute ride by taxi to Georgetown. Our taxi driver, Alvin (Mr. Rolle Town Taxi) made the trip very enjoyable and informative. The staff at Minns were friendly and professional.... More
Great range of boats to explore ariund Elizabeth Harbour. Twin and single engine boats. Low tide is best fir returnjng boats as you need to pass under the little George Town bridge 😉
The boats are old and you can not take The Boat out of The area it was nice but no much to see considering the beauty of exumas.
if you wanna see the true Exuma, you need to rent a boat, we got our boat fro Minns, their boats are in great condition, they will check the boat well before you take the boat, giving you radio to make sure you may contact them if anything went wrong, the stuff know this island very well, they will provide... If you're the adventurous type and want to see all there is to see in Elizabeth Harbor, head to Minn's in downtown George Town. My husband and I rented one during our vacation - a 15ft Boston Whaler (there are other sizes, but this was the cheapest at $166/day excl. fuel used - we only used 4 gal. during our... More
Rented a 17' boat with a Yamaha 4 stroke in December 2014. Great boats and value. A must do for exploring the harbor and islands.
We visited Exuma August 11-15 and renting a boat from Minns was at the top of my list! We took a taxi from the Sandals resort to Minns. Patrick was our driver. I HIGHLY recommend him. He was the best!!! Back to Minn's.... it was very easy to rent a boat from them. And very easy to maneuver around the... More
Renting a boat in this area is a great choice for entertainment there are dozens of incredible beaches that can be visited by boat and I prefer to do it myself. Mario on the dock was always a great help with anything I ever needed and the Minn family are are nice people. I have rented from them 8-10 times... More
Went to Minns to rent a boat in Elizabeth Harbor - but boats were expensive with no navigation/GPS. Instead take a water taxis/ ferry to Chat n' Chill. When you get to the dock. Ask for Elvis. He rented us the boat and guide for much cheaper than what Minns was asking. Ryan took us everywhere.

We are staying at Sandals Emerald Bay. How do you get to Minns from Sandals? I remember last time someone saying it was a $100 taxi ride, which seems crazy! One day we are going to rent a car and explore the island (I know renting a car is pricey there too, but that's fine since we'll use it all day). However we hate to pay $100 for a taxi ride to the marina just to get to the boat. Does Sandals provide transportation to Minn's? If anyone knows I would appreciate some guidance. thanks!
Hi- My husband and I went to Exuma a few years ago and didn't rent a boat. We're going back in 2 weeks and definitely want to rent a boat this time. Can you go anywhere (within reason) with the boat or do you have to stay in the harbor? Just trying to determine exactly how much exploring we can do or how far they let you take the boat?
We tried to email the reservation form and it got kicked back because your email is full. I don't have access to a fax machine, any other options?
