A lovely, air conditioned, shop in the heart of Georgetown, provided us with some wonderful gifts to bring home. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. We were there when the owner's daughter was working, who happens to also be the artist who creates the pottery. She was very kind and told us a bit about her... More

The shop is cute, but it seemed overpriced -- particularly on basic things like postcards. Perhaps I missed it (and I know this store specializes in handmade crafts, etc.), but the only postcards I saw were $5 a piece. They were beautiful, but it would have been nice to have had some $1 options that maybe were a little less... More

This lovely little shop had a great choice of items made locally and featuring Exuma and the Bahamas. I wish now I had bought more painted tiles as they look great on my bathroom wall. Nice staff and no pressure, make sure to visit.

Let's face it, Exuma is NOT the shopping type of island! But when we are there, Sandpiper is the place to go. Great selection of cloths/tops, loads of books and reference materials including navigation charts/maps, beautiful art work and pottery and a few souvenir trinkets. The straw market is good for your tourist type stuff, but if you are looking... More

We stopped in here last week during our week in Great Exuma. There is a great selection of gifts, clothing, and unique items. Worth the stop.

Just home from Exuma where we enjoyed the most wonderful week celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the National Family Island Regatta (Bahamian made sloop sailing racing). It's these unique cultural competitions that schedule our Bahamian visits...along with the fun festivals and friendly people that accompany them. But whether you are in for 'Regatta" or enjoying that ultimate 'escape to paradise'....... More

Sandpiper is a treasure trove that will delight any visitor. 3 generations of Minns family art, all very different in styles, and all beautifully unique in their representations of their lives on this beautiful island. This is the most amazing little shop full of all things Caribbean and much more besides, we enjoy browsing, there is always something unusual and a treasure to be found tucked away in one of the delightful little sections. The art is vibrant and so representative of the island of Exuma. Have found many delights to buy for our friends... More

While sailing the Exumas seven years ago, we anchored in Georgetown and took delight in the local island offerings...great food, music and entertaining people. We stopped in Sandpiper and found it to be a most charming gift shop with special items that you could not find anywhere else. In particular, Diane's tile art is spectacular...Beautiful island scenes in vibrant colors.... More
