In 1998, Pepper was built right here on St John to introduce guests to sailing "Island Style" on a traditional vessel. With only a small back-up engine and no winches, Pepper is pure sailing and fun. Her spacious cockpit gives ample room for passengers, stowage for snorkeling gear, and of course, plenty of room for Kims fabulous lunches. Let Lance and Kim show you the little traveled east end of St. John, and learn a little about the history of this Caribbean gem. Sailing most days and evenings from Coral Bay, right behind Skinny Legs. Sail Pepper is a family friendly day excursion charter. Bring the whole family!. Please call us directly for additional information, or to book your trip!

Thanks to Kim and Lance for a perfectly lovely day on the water! Deliciously flavorful food, with special consideration for our vegetarian family members, was prepared by Kim. The rum libations were a welcome addition to our picnic on the water. We had a wonderful snorkeling experience and learned so much about the creatures and terrain below, unmatched by our... More

Nice sail out of Coral Bay with Kim and Lance. Went out to Round Bay and had an excellent snorkeling experience around Pelican Rock. Lance snorkeled with us and pointed out interesting fish. Kim set up an enjoyable lunch. Very relaxing.

Kim and Lance were delightful hosts for our day snorkeling and sailing. The boat is authentically Caribbean, the snorkeling really good, and the food wonderful. Lance knew right where to take us and was able to point out lots of interesting coral and fish we wouldn't otherwise have been able to identify. We have snorkeled around the Caribbean, Hawaii, and... My family recently visited St. John for the first time with our two daughters, ages 5 & 7. We enjoyed visiting the various beaches on foot, but also wanted to spend a day at sea to show our girls a different perspective, and to reach some good snorkeling sites. Kim and Lance were referred to us by two locals that... More

Our sailing & snorkel trip with Lance & Kim was perfect. We had a nice sail around coral bay with some interesting facts & history of the area. Then to a good snorkeling spot in calm water where Lance pointed out some of the underwater life. Returned to the boat for a delicious lunch that Kim prepared while we were... More

Kim and Lance are a great couple. Lance will pick you up at the dingy dock behind Skinny's in Coral Bay then take you out to the bright yellow sail boat. It is super cool, created and built right in Coral Bay. We've never been on a sail boat so this was the greatest first time experience. We'll definitely be... More

For the second time..... Sail Pepper owners Kim and Lance took us on a wonderful tour of the Coral Bay area in their authentic Caribbean sloop. Another great adventure! Highly recommended for anyone interested in local history and environmental awareness, it doesn't get any better than this. If you're interested in identifying octopus, squid, learning how to sail, learning how... More

My cousins and I took a delightful sunset sail on Pepper. The evening was perfect. My stateside cousins said this was just about the best part of their visit. Of course, Lance & Kim add so much to the sailing adventure. The small sailboat offers a relaxing, quiet (no loud music blaring) and intimate experience. We just wanted a leisurely... More

Lance and Kim are the perfect hosts and the Pepper is an intimate and elegant craft on which to spend a day. Our experience was like a back yard get together, but on a boat: relaxing and chatting, enjoying the views, ultimately followed by snorkeling instead of horseshoes. Lance guided us through the various marine wildlife, showing us a sea... More

Kim and Lance were wonderful hosts. Their boat was pristinely kept, the day was perfect, the snorkeling was great and the lunch that Kim provided (rum punch included if you like) was healthy, delicious and bountiful! A completely perfect 1/2 day adventure. Don't hesitate ... GO! xo's
