The lagoon is a natural river bay surrounded by sand dunes. The water is refreshing for the warm days, wich are most days at Parnaíba. There are restaurants and a hostel near by. Most of the local people go to here for fun and swiming, as an alternative to the beautiful beaches at Luis Correa.
