the most amazing place right in the heart of the city meandering along the yarra river, it is interpersed with walking tracks, bike lanes, a place where you must bring your out of town visitors to enjoy.

The course is not as well kept as it used to be but it's still a pretty good track for a public course. I hadn't played in many years and was curious about the changes. I was disappointed. Changing the front 9 to the back, meant that you no longer had that great par 5 finishing hole which can get... More

This is my local course and I'm very happy it is. A really nice course to play 9 or 18 at with plenty of shade for a hot day. The fairways are kept in good condition and the views make you feel as if you have escaped inner suburbs. The addition of the driving range is a great feature and... More

hit a few hundred golf balls without chasing any and watch some pretty good golfers hit them even further. Good fun!

Always enjoy a social round here. Not well maintained but the view is better than courses in the surrounding area. Pro-shop is well stocked, food is not bad too.

this course is near central Melbourne, not Frankston. it's a bit cheap and cheerful, but sweet in its own way and I got a really friendly welcome. nicely contoured greens but short. worth playing for 13 and 14 which are surrounded by a wonderful bat colony.

I'm unsure where these profile photos were taken, but they are definitely not of the Yarra Bend Golf course. Yarra Bend is an average public course set along the banks of the Yarra in Fairfield. If looking for a decent public access course near Frankston, I would recommend somewhere like Devil Bend.

Hi all. Yarra Bend is a public golf course in Melbourne close to the city and looks nothing like the photos uploaded. Yarra Bend is a average course but one of the closest to the city. The area - Yarra Bend - is quite beautiful though. So the coure is worth a walk around. ( haven't been there for a... More

If you want to play Golf in Frankston, try Centenary Park or drive down the Mornington Peninsula for a huge choice of great courses. But this is closer to Melbourne.

I live in California, to play on an Australian Golf Course is always a treat. During a business trip in December with clients, I managed to spend an enjoyable afternoon at Yarra Bend. The course was a delight, nestled along the river and bushland it makes you feel you are miles away from the center of Melbourne, yet you are... More
