I have used Archaeotours on my last 3 visits to the United Kingdom...once in Wales, once in Devon, and most recently in Ireland, and I can say without hesitation that I would use them on my next trip as well. In a nutshell Mary provides highly individualized service, she really listens to what you are interested in and tailors your... More

A long overdue review. I was selected by my university as their Welsh fellow to go abroad and do research. I chose to study the standing stones and dolmens. Archaeotours worked with me to plan a route. I was nervous, having never been overseas before. This turned into the experience of a lifetime. I not only got to see almost... More

Our family loves to pack international trips chock-full of history and local experiences, and we usually have limited time. After compiling a list of things we wanted to see in the UK and Ireland, I reached out to a couple of travel agents to see if they could help arrange itineraries, accommodations, etc. Every one of them told me I... I recently spent two months traveling around North Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland and Iceland. As a history major, I spend lots of time in museums and historical sites, but also only travel by public transportation, and realized quickly with southern Wales that I needed something different. I consider myself so fortunate to have found Archaeotours website, and had the pleasure... More

We had an excellent day with Mary who was able to show us several Mesolithic sites which will help me with a dissertation I have to write. It was a very special experience thanks to Mary who made it all so interesting.

Much better than a tour guide, a qualified archaeologist with extensive knowledge of the area. We went to places which we wouldn't have found on our own. Mary is a real people person who we felt very at ease with, I cannot say how much we enjoyed our day with her. There were no pat answers to questions and Mary's... More

Archaeotours works under the motto "tailor-made archaeology, history and wildlife"... a bullseye. I travelled to Wales with my family and, as it is tradition in our family trips, we usually like to explore the country exhaustively, driving the entire country through the most important sites. Unlike most of the world, driving is an issue in the UK so we decided... More

This month we spent a week visiting Wales as part of our Great Britain family trip. By no means we would stress ourselves trying to drive on the left, so one month in advance we started our search for a solution. We considered trains, but that meant missing all the little spots. We considered one day tours, but no one... More
