This beach is great for the person who is threatened by rough waters. It is a very calm beach and shallow. You can walk way out and still only be waist deep. No undertow. You have to look out and see though, there is a lot of growing seaweed in certain areas. I didn't care to much for that but... More

This is not the best beach in St. Martin, but it is a great beach if you are traveling with small children as we did. Shallow water where even one year old kids can play without any problem. No undertow on left side of the beach. On a day we visited there was a lot of sea grass on a... More

We rented a jeep and got to this beach well before lunch - easy to get to and the drive there from the cruise port was interesting. It was very quiet and I could park right in front of the beach. The water was shallow and calm. There were chairs and umbrellas there for rent. A good spot to drop... More

Visited the beach on St Martins day and there were a lot of people there. Probably more quit on week Days. Very protected beach and not so high Waves.

Relaxing, calm waters, never crowded. Pick a spot under a tree or not...no matter where you decide to "lay your towel" Le Galion is peace and tranquility anytime.

We visit saint marteen very often, but we find this year the beach very dirty and for 20$ for Sun umbrella I prefer to go to Pinel .

We drove to Le Galion twice: once on Monday when all services were closed and we could just hang under a tree, and once later in the week when the restaurant was open. Both lovely. This is not like Orient: few people, longer walks through shallow water to swim, only one bar/restaurant. Also, this was not like Orient: quiet, beautiful,... More

Compared to other places we visited, this place was not as pretty, too shallow, vendors are nice, food was too pricey for what you get though the water activity rentals are priced right. we went to this location because we have a 4 and 6 yr old and thought it would be great for them but it was actually too... loved this beach for the family- rented chairs and umbrella- ate lunch at restaurant- a little pricey day but worth it! Beach protected by nature reserve, calm waters, fun sandbars to swim out to- rafts to jump off...
