We drove to Le Galion twice: once on Monday when all services were closed and we could just hang under a tree, and once later in the week when the restaurant was open. Both lovely. This is not like Orient: few people, longer walks through shallow water to swim, only one bar/restaurant. Also, this was not like Orient: quiet, beautiful,... More

Compared to other places we visited, this place was not as pretty, too shallow, vendors are nice, food was too pricey for what you get though the water activity rentals are priced right. we went to this location because we have a 4 and 6 yr old and thought it would be great for them but it was actually too... loved this beach for the family- rented chairs and umbrella- ate lunch at restaurant- a little pricey day but worth it! Beach protected by nature reserve, calm waters, fun sandbars to swim out to- rafts to jump off...

Friendly people, great food and service, rental chairs/umbrellas. Super place for kids, lots of shallow water and activities, but also great for relaxing, jumping into the water once in a while, walking and reading. Recommended.

The beach is super shallow. As far as you can walk it dosen't get much higher than maybe your knees or a little higher. Great for young kids no harsh waves to scare them, Plus the water is warm and clean. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented.

We stopped at Galion Beach for a cold beer and to look around. Not a great beach and little facilities however the beer was sure cold and refreshing.

Most family-friendly beach we came across on the island. Easy parking, reasonable prices for chairs, umbrellas, and food, and terrific water conditions. There aren't many waves here, so this beach is ideal for wading long distances, snorkeling, and watersports. See Fred at the beach shack and he'll take great care of you. I saw the reviews that warned about litter,... More

Dirty sand and dirty waters. We went with a 3 year old. And although the waters were shallow, there was only one clean spot where you could really swim. Go to Pinel island instead.

We've been here twice on two separate occasions spanning over 3 years. We avoid Orient Beach because of the crowds and wavy waters. Our experience has been a bit different than some of the reviews. We've always arrived to a relatively quiet, empty beach a small bar for simple drinks. No frills or special services at this beach. BUT it's... More

I would have given this beautiful beach 5 stars except for the fact that we were warned about car robberies there. The beach itself is gorgeous, with lots of shallow, warm, crystal clear water. There is a platform to walk out on, as well as a dock to jump off of. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. There is a snack... More
