Enjoyed this very calm beach ; it is definitely more of a locals beach although there were some tourists. Lots of families having picnics and parties on weekends. No waves, some seaweed, places to eat. Some tourists. People were friendly. Easy to get to; just down road from Butterfly farm.

Kids loved it! Great place for them to learn to paddle board. They loved jumping off the floating docks. The water was shallow and the enjoyed finding various creatures in the ocean. My 13 year old especially love the pool inside the ocean.

Thus it is good for kids, well not just for kids, its just that there are so many colonies and stretches for nudists that it is difficult to find a stretch without people who are not so much into naturism as into exposing themselves....there is a big difference. What i found on this island , particularly the French part, is... More

Great for families with small children and those who are not strong swimmers. Had a very pleasant day there.

We loved the look of this beach last time we visited. This time it was full of seaweed and it was not comfortable for swimming. My husband got a rash on his arm from something he touched during snorkeling. At the exit, some salespeople trying to get you to visit the Dawn beach resort for time share presentation ...

Happened on this beach by accident and had a great time! We were having lunch and met Patrick an expat (who owns the place) and his friends which made for a perfect day! The beach bar has good food, ice cold $3 beers and a great place to chill on a hot day. You can rent just about anything from... More

We really loved this beach! It was shallow for great kids play. Very calm water. We all snorkeled and found fish and conch shells. They have 2 docks out in the water for jumping off of. This beach had a floating sea pool for even more kid fun.

The beach bar featured a nice little bar menu at reasonable prices with chair and umbrella service. On our honeymoon, the beach bar also offered a variety of water sports. We took first time windsurfing lessons which by the end we were both cruising around and having a blast! It was quiet with calm shallow waters, that would be perfect... More

We had read that Galion bay was nice and calm which it truly is. Its amazing to see the waves crashing at the opening to the bay and then the water barely moving at the beach. We enjoyed the day and the nice calm water. If you have kids it is probably the calmest beach on the island and shallow... More
