We have been to several other butterfly attractions including a huge one in the Niagara Falls area. This small but well stocked butterfly farm was amazing. Our guide has been doing this for nine years and was very informative and interesting. She interacted well with our group, getting all of us involved. We had to wait about 15 minutes for... More

If you did not know where the farm was located...you would drive right by it! The owner was very knowledgeable and gave an awesome tour of the basic facilities. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, laugh and experience nature at its best!

We stopped there as part of a Disney Fantasy cruise ship van excursion. My wife and I plus daughter, her husband and 3 grandkids (4, 8 & 10) entered and were thrilled with the farm. The point of the operation, as explained by a very knowledgeable guide, is to reintroduce many native butterflies back to the island. She used quizzes,... More

The Butterfly Farm looks unassuming from the parking lot, but inside there awaits a tropical paradise full of flitting forms of color. For many, the variety and number of butterflies would be worth the price of admission, but this would overlook the extensive knowledge of the guides about moths, butterflies and the tropical plants they need to survive. Our tour... More

This is a well-run operation! The owner was very knowledgeable and welcoming. You can stay with him and listen to is explanations, or wander off by yourself to experience the butterfly-filled tropical garden. Even the chrysalid stage has its beauty.

I think this was $10 or 15, I can't recall. Lots and lots of butterflies all over the place, just as expected. It wasn't too packed either. I tagged along for one of the tours, but about 50% of it was the owner narrating his entire life story.. after a bit of that I walked off on my own and... More

If you like butterflies, this is the place to visit when on the island. I went via a tour from a cruise, and was thoroughly delighted. Inside, you are transported into another world - a tropical garden where all kinds of colourful butterflies flit about. It's educational, too, because you can learn a lot about what they eat, what plants... More

The butterfly farm isn't very big but has a lot of very cool butterflies. I got some very cool pictures and use one as my desktop on my computer. The staff makes sure you know as much about the butterflies as you want. Nice gift shop but not pressure to buy. Very friendly and relaxing people and place. I will... More

This is a must see just for the wonder of it! They are flying, hatching and landing on you to make friends the entire time you are there. Make sure to wear bright colors, more butterflies will be attracted to you. Well worth the $10.
