Cloughjordan House, is a 400 year old historic farmhouse, owned by Peter and Sarah Baker, who run a successful family business which includes Weddings, B & B and cookery school. Cloughjordan House sits on 8 acres of lands which includes a walled organic kitchen garden. The Cookery school is Sarah Baker's passion, love of fresh and "real" food. The Cookery School is currently providing hugely popular educational tours for students, focusing on a farm to fork experience where students harvest, cook and eat. Weddings with a difference in the ballroom where the focus is on good food and relaxed atmosphere. The B & B has 9 bedrooms that range in style from beautifully styled en-suite Georgian rooms to quirky milking shed bedrooms.

We visited Cloughjordan House for a wedding, it was not like any wedding we had attended before.. games on the lawn after the ceremony, while we sipped on our refreshments, the food was all locally sourced, organic and absolutely fantastic (wedding food can be very bland and boring - this was not!!) Breakfast the next day was one of the... More

This is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it is great for a wedding where the whole area is taken over, as it was for my friend's recently. We were staying nearby in the eco-village, but it was such a lovely building and garden. The space has ample facilities and the food provided by the in-house caterers was... More

We were privileged to be able to have our wedding at Cloughjordan House in May 2015. From the moment we visited we fell in love with the house, the surroundings, the atmosphere and the people. Sarah and Peter, Colleen, Holly, Julie, Henry, Sarah, Megan (and many more whose names I regrettably did not write down) are incredibly warm and welcoming.... More

Sheila and Shane, I'm completely speechless! I'm having trouble responding to your very kind and sincere words. You have described exactly what we have set out to do perfectly and I am so delighted that you both you and your wonderful guests had such a great time. We all at Cloughjordan House really enjoyed having you and wish you both... More

Our group had an excellent experience at the Cloughjordan cookery school. From the garden tour through the lesson it could not have been better. Some snags with email response, but that is a small detriment to the fabulous time we had!

The venue could be suberb if the service and accomadation improved. The wedding breakfast food was excellent when it finally arrived. Rooms without children's cots or bed clothes and wardrobes? Breakfast the following morning, though supposedly inclusive but charged extra, was a disaster. Breakfast Buffett for app. 45 people was arranged on a surface no bigger than a small sideboard.... Had an awful experience unfortunately. Had booked a cookery class but due to poor numbers it was cancelled. Opted for a refund as no other class appealed to me. However my account was debited instead of beind credited. When pointed out to the Bakers they were very unsympathetic and it took several phonecalls to resolve the matter. Very poor after... More

We stayed here late last year for two nights with a cookery class on the Saturday. Our room was in the outside annexe over the cookery school ,it would have been nice to stay in the main house also there was no tv in our room. The main house is charming with guests having access to the large sitting room. Breakfast... More

I visited Cloughjordan house for a one night break with cookery class in December 2014. We arrived a bit late and were greeted by Peter who was so friendly and welcoming! He showed us around the house (the living room- WOW!) and then brought us to our room which was beautiful and cosy! The next morning (feeling well rested after... More

My sister and I wanted to stay at a lovely older estate, but didn't want the large scale of the castles. Cloughjordan House fit the bill. We stayed in a new room (not the main house, which was full), but our room was lovely. The reclaimed wooden sinks were beautiful, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water.... More
