Owner description: Cloughjordan House, is a 400 year old historic farmhouse, owned by Peter and Sarah Baker, who run a successful family business which includes Weddings, B & B and cookery school. Cloughjordan House sits on 8 acres of lands which includes a walled organic kitchen garden. The Cookery school is Sarah Baker's passion, love of fresh and "real" food. The Cookery School is currently providing hugely popular educational tours for students, focusing on a farm to fork experience where students harvest, cook and eat. Weddings with a difference in the ballroom where the focus is on good food and relaxed atmosphere. The B & B has 9 bedrooms that range in style from beautifully styled en-suite Georgian rooms to quirky milking shed bedrooms.

I visited Cloughjordan house for a one night break with cookery class in December 2014. We arrived a bit late and were greeted by Peter who was so friendly and welcoming! He showed us around the house (the living room- WOW!) and then brought us to our room which was beautiful and cosy! The next morning (feeling well rested after... More

My sister and I wanted to stay at a lovely older estate, but didn't want the large scale of the castles. Cloughjordan House fit the bill. We stayed in a new room (not the main house, which was full), but our room was lovely. The reclaimed wooden sinks were beautiful, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water.... More

We visited Cloughjordan house in July 2014 for a family wedding. About three car loads of our family arrived at the same time to be warmly greeted by Sarah. I found the house to be in excellent condition very tastefully decorated, and our room was massive with an equally big en suite. Sarah's attention to detail and personal touch was... More

I found Cloughjordan House as I was looking for cooking classes to take while I was in Ireland. Although Sarah wasn't offering any classes while I was going to be there, I took the opportunity to stay at the bed and breakfast. Peter greeted me with a pot of tea when I got there, and it was such a treat... More

We visited Cloughjordan House in June 2014 as part of a hunt for family history. Not only was it a lovely place to stay but the whole Baker family went out of their way to make us welcome, help,us with the challenges of travellers with lost luggage and even introduce us to people in town who could help with our... We has the pleasure of winning an overnight stay here through Glenisk. It was absolutely fabulous. The house itself is so charming and well looked after. The cookery class was so much fun, we enjoyed every minute. Thank you Sarah, Peter and Coleen!

Sarah and Peeter Baker , the Owners of this 400 year country house and walled estate treat their guests as they would their friends. They have converted this old and interesting building to provide quality accomodation. The surroundings and ambience are of pleasant country living. Barely 200 yards away is a private gate taking you into Cloughjordan's Eco- village- well... More

We recently visited Cloughjordan House for an overnight visit and cookery class on Saturday - what a terrific experience we had. The old house (in its excellent condition) and the warm welcome of the owners, Peter & Sarah Baker was great to behold. We shared breakfast table with other aspiring "cooks" which added to the atmosphere, although this was not... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to have a week-end retreat at Peter and Sarah's incredible 400 year old Irish mansion. We shared dinner with their family including delicious wine from their cellar. There was a festival in town, along with an antique show in their Ballroom, PLUS cooking demonstrations in their bright, modern cookery school. We were able... More
