Stayed here camping and will definitely come back. Such lovely welcoming people. I really like the philosophy of the place. it is peaceful and beautiful. Loved the music playing in the cafe, and looking forward to trying out a pizza cooked in the new oven. Pitches are well spaced and flat field. Showers and toilets basic but spacious. Loved the... My wife and I had really great day out. We took the boat trip to Bodiam, had lunch in the pub and then visited the castle. On our return we had a cream tea which was wonderful with scones which were literally just out of the oven. Excellent value all round. A relaxing and enjoyable day with really lovely hosts.... More

We recently stayed at the Bodiam Boating station as a couple in our campervan. It was a fantastic camp site with everything you needed, showers, toilets, coffee shop and even newspaper delivery. There were many families on the camp site but as a couple we still felt we had privacy and a relaxing weekend. The ferry and boat hire are... More

Such a lovely campsite - my first go at camping in the UK. Had a wonderful trip by boat to Bodiam castle, kids loved helming the boat, and the campsite is in a lovely location (brilliant to watch the steam train in the distance). Children loved playing with lots of new friends in the field and we really appreciated the... More

Thanks for your complimentary review and so pleased you had a good time here. It's a shame the first England game was pretty much the only game! See you next time. More

My wife and I got engaged in a row boat on this river five years ago, we decided to go back and spend some time on the river again in a row boat as its coming close to our anniversary. We booked out the campsite in August 2013 for a large group of 14 families - with many small children - to celebrate a 40th birthday. From the first email enquiry to the time we left, Alex & Vanessa could not have done more to make the weekend a success. We made the most of everything they could offer, from... More

This is a great little place. It has space for 15 tents so has a lovely cosy atmosphere. The Tea Café onsite is great. You can get coffee, tea and croissants ordered in the morning to your tent. If you are disorganised like us you can hire a fire pit complete with logs and toasting marsh mallows. They run a... More

Hired a rowing boat for 4 hours. Went up the river and found a lovely picnic spot, had picnic and rowed back. The Tea Rooms served us a lovely cream tea to complete a lovely day. We went with our 2 grandchildren aged 4 an 5 and both were fitted properly with life vests.
