Check the weather before making your decision on if you are going to pay the price of the cable car. If in doubt I would recommend taking the risk. It can be well worth it!!! The food is expensive at the summit, but to sit an watch the view and have a small meal or a cup of coffee is... More

My wife and I were staying in the charming village of Beatenberg so it was easy for us to get to the Niederhorn via the free bus (only free to those staying in the village). The bus took us directly to the station for the cable car which takes you up to the summit, or the funicular which takes you... More

the view it's ok, not the most wow in Swiss, it's great for hiking and biking. but if i think about it was expensive overall, adding the parking on the bottom, the ride for two persons by cable, and the expensive not good at all food in the top , it's not worth it! also very crowded on top and... The Cable car also a beautiful journey. best of all you if your are a bit adventuurous can have a great ride down on trotti bikes...so much fun. Amazing views... More

If you are based in Interlaken, a trip up the Niederhorn is a must. You can take a boat from a Interlaken West to Beatenbucht and then the furnicular, or the post bus to Beatenberg. Once there, small gondolas take you to the summit. On a clear day you can see across to mt. Blanc and the views are humbling.... More

Fantastic views across the alps even over to Mont Blanc on a clear day. Felt like could see for miles. Reasonably priced food (for Switzerland) on top. A great place to see paragliders taking off, and many options for different walks, of different length, i personally walked over to gemmelphorn (sorry for bad spelling), which took me several gentle hours.... Highly recommend a 1 day trip on a clear day from Interlaken visiting Neiderhorn , Lake cruise on Thun , Sighseeing at Thun and also Trotti biking downhill from Middle station to Beatenberg. From Interlaken you can take a boat to Beatenbucht and then Funicular to Beatenberg and Cable Car to top of the Niederhorn . You need to pay... More

Its a breathtaking drive from Interlaken to Beatenberg. From there a cable car takes you on top of the Niedorhorn peak. The view all across are very beutiful. There is hang-gliding activty in the summer. Dont forget to bring a picnic lunch. You can expect to spend an hour here to vist different areas of the mountain peak.

My husband and I visited the Niederhorn in September 2013 . We were staying in Beatenberg at the time. It was very convenient to catch the village bus to the end of town to get the cable car up the mountain. It was a very smooth and beautiful trip up with lovely views as you went up. We had a...
