There is an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. To be fair, the outdoor pool has an absolutely stunning view. It is surrounded sheer mountain rock. The collection of whirlpool jets in the outdoor pool is also above average. The rub is that 3 hours cost the equivalent of about 50 US. Which makes it a lousy bargain for the... More

We loved the thermal bath Alpentherme. The outdoor pool offers amazing views to the mountains. Preferred this one than Burgerbath.

If you want "peace and rest" and enjoy thermal warm water without having children playing around, then it's the place to go. Being a father, I have no problems with children, so my remark is only for those who are more looking for a "couple" area. Alpentherme for sure is 5 times smaller than Burgerbad as only 1 indoor and... More

Lots of different possibilities are offered here, from the "standard" baths, which are wonderfully hot, both outside and in, with lots of bubble beds, a large jacuzzi, and plenty of jets, to the special areas: the Sauna village with its old wooden chalets each offering a different type of sauna or hamam, and the Roman-Irish baths, pure luxury if you... I went here after a day at the main Luekerbad BurgerBad, which was a circus of children and crowded pools with lines to enjoy any of the pool features. Alpentherme is much smaller, but its a bit more expensive which means you don't get big families. I found the indoor and outdoor pools very nice, although to be fair it... More

We spent a week with our children hiking in the mountains surrounding Leukerbad. I cannot say enough about this wonderful village and I cannot wait to visit again. One of the highlights of our stay was a visit to the thermal baths and sauna village at Alpentherme. There are several different saunas to choose from in the village: herbal sanarium,... More

We are greats fan of thermal spas and were excited to go here. Luckily, we took the package with the 'sauna village', because the small section with the thermal pools is a joke: extremely crowded, all the loungers and whirpool-spaces hogged continuously and just not very inspiring. The view is great, mind you. The sauna village is pretty nice and... More

This spa is much smaller than the Leukerbad (town) spa with only 2 pools, one indoor and one outdoor. There are many bubble areas but only a few underwater jets and 4 water spouts which you can use for massaging your body. Compared to the town spa, this is very limited and we felt were important drawbacks. Probably because of... More

As Americans, I cannot believe the bad customer service at the desk to buy tickets, and the horrible, smelly, nightmare locker room maze you have to figure out, just to get out to the pool! I give them zero stars for this! It took us 15 minutes to buy tickets even though only 2 people in front of us. BRING... More

There are two spas in Leukerbad: Alpentherme and Burgerbad. Both of them are nice and I can't really say which one is better.
