There was a very nice collection of work from the likes of Renoir and Cézanne but the museum is very small. It took me less than 30 minutes to see the whole place.

A wonderful little museum in a gorgeous old villa. It is easy to reach from the train station. The villa houses an incredible collection of art pieces and has rotating exhibits that make this very worth while visiting.

What a delight to see Renoir, Degas, Cezanne and similar is such a beautiful and homely setting. The museum is a delight, and there are some playful images projected onto the walls, as well as attractive furniture and beautiful paintings.

Again a visit nice for summer to enjoy the garten. Why not taking a pic-nic with you? The insight is delightful for both the piece of arts and the house itself.

I have been living in Switzerland for more than twenty years, had heard of the Langmatt Museum but just recently went to visit it. What an unexpected and rewarding experience, well worth the visit and getting a feel for the life of the Browns family, founders of todays ABB....

If you are interested in architecture from the beginning of the 20th c., and would like to see how industrialists like the Brown family lived at that time, have a look at this museum. In addition to its permanent collection, this small museum organizes temporary exhibitions that are well worth visiting. Nice cafe and a beautiful garden.

The Museum Langmatt opened in 1990, and we have been meaning to visit it ever since. In fact, one of the reasons we went to Zurich for a few days in December, 2010, was to see it, but it had closed for the season a few weeks earlier. So when we planned a week in Switzerland in August, one of... More
