Remember November / December 2014 when many ski resorts remained closed because of lack of snow? I have been skiing since November till today 17.4.15, always good snow and perfectly prepared slopes. Sometimes the area opened only at 11.00 because of avalanches or strong wind. Enoying but it is just for you own safety. If you want to try it... More

We've just been to Saas Fee for the 2nd time in 15 years, this time with children. What brought was back was the resort size (enough to keep you going for a week with active kids..just), the ability to ski at Easter, the pretty car-free streets and - joy-of-joys - that you can hire a basement locker near the slopes... Saas Fee is a stunning location. The small town is in a basin surrounded by beautiful high snow capped mountains. There are two blue runs at low level but other blue runs are higher up and if the weather is not good are difficult to access. Some of the blues could be classified as red runs! So, I would not... What a shame - Saas Fee could have it all. It is situated at high altitude and guarantees year round ski-ing. Yet it sells by far the most expensive per km lift pass in Europe, of which less than a third were open for 3 of our of 5 days, with no reasonable explanation given. You are not allowed to... More

Smaller than some other resorts I've skied in, but good off-piste possibilities and the resort was 'relatively' free late March when we skied.

Our first visit to Saas-Fee and we really enjoyed the town and its facilities. The skiing areas are excellent and the transport system in a traffic free town worked well.

Spectacular mountain surroundings with good variety of slopes. The village is small and cosy due to its no vehicle policy. Not too many restaurants to choose from and very expensive in general. Some of them do serve great food though.

This is the first time I've skied in over 25 years, and I couldn't have gone to a better place, the slopes are very well maintained people are very friendly and it's very easy to get around. Fantastic place!

Ive skiied ~10 places in switzerland and this is the best place by far. Run 17a is the best ski run I have done in my life. The snow metro is SO cool! I love it here - saas fee will always have a place in my memories and I hope I can keep coming here yearly (or more!)

Wide, sunny , mostly red runs, not too crowded. Good mountain restaurants. Charming alpine-style town with lively après-ski and bars, restaurants for later + shops during the day. Probably would not suit very advanced skiers as few black runs, but great for beginners and intermediates.
