Perched on a sunny high plateau in the heart of the Alps, Crans-Montana...

Perched on a sunny high plateau in the heart of the Alps, Crans-Montana offers visitors a magnificent panorama of 200 km over the Alps.

These extraordinary surroundings serve as a backdrop to four golf courses including the mythical Severiano Ballesteros. During winter, the 140 km ski area and its famous "national piste" will satisfy any ski or snowboard fan.

Beautiful south facing setting. Veeeeeery expensive , without old fashioned charm. Great but limited walks in summer. Dog friendly, a bit less for teenagers

Until fairly recently Crans and Montana were 2 separate Villages placed like a dumbbell. Crans snob & Italian and Montana Paysan ( = compliment ). We are for Montana, particularly when the major work in the centre is finished, including an escalator up to the lift station. Now it's impossible to find anything anywhere since any address is "Crans-Montana" Bureaucrats... More

it was so nice but myopic touristic choices are driven the place to a low level location. what you can find now?? bad service high prices and this Christmas no snow but this is not their fault

Rather expensive place, but ski slopes are really good and rather etherogeneus. Everyone can find a good one among more than 40! Book in advance;)

Either it is summer or winter this place has its own taste and atmosphere, if you are going skiing or just enjoying the scenery you will always have a great time as well as food & wine.

Is only a 20 minutes ride by funiculaire, this place is beautiful on its own. Lots of eateries, there is one casino and the view is spectacular. A few nights trip to Crans will be an ideal vacation for those visiting Switzerland.

One of the best ski villages in Europe. It is not exactly easy to get to but the powder on the slopes was excellent even in late March. There are plenty of good restaurants to go to here as well.

Crans Montana is a ski area in the Wallis (Valais in French) in the south west of Switzerland. The ski area is mostly intermediate, nice in the early winter when its southerly aspect catches the sun. But the mountain lift company is rather mercenary about refunds so beware about buying a ticket and then not being able to ski.

I've been visiting Crans Montana very often over the past 28 years and having just returned from it, I can assure you that this hidden slice of heaven, hasn't changed at all. The whole place, its lakes, its Alpine scenery as well as the various activity opportunities make me and my family with two young boys returning over and over... More

Excellent town in the middle of the swiss mountains, great place for skiing/snowboarding, and playing golf. Make sure you bring your credit card! Restaurants are about four times more expensive than in Italy. Great place for hiking down/up the mountains too.
