We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Nordic centre tobaggan hill. The setting is absolutely amazing with a nicely groomed hill, surrounded by the majestic mountains. There are a combination of tobagganing hills, some with jumps. Tip...stop at Canadian Tire in Canmore to pick up so some sleds. Excellent value as its free to use the hill. More

This is our family's third winter visit to the Canmore Nordic Centre. We've always enjoyed coming back to cross country ski and with a young family, the beginner trails, such as the Banff Trail, are just right for us. That trail is wide, giving you lots of space, well marked, and at night, well lit (N.B. not all trails are... More

This was our second attempt at cross-country skiing, and the Nordic centre is a great place to do to it. Loads of wide trails with great views, and well groomed, with double track-sets in each direction on the main loop. That means even on a good-weather Saturday, we didn't get in anyone's way. Each intersection has really good clear signage,... More

We stopped on our way from Calgary to Lake Louise to mountain bike and had a fabulous time. Numerous trails of all levels to pick between. Beautiful scenery, saw a bear and my children had a blast. They have great bikes to rent. More

Well packed trails for skiing cross country. Ski rental on location. Lodge and snack bar. Gives the feeling of a ski hill experience in cross country skiing. We prefer to go down into Kananaskis Country for a more rustic day of skiing, but if you only have a day in Canmore, then worth the money for 'lift' ticket admission... You... More

Coming from New Zealand, mountain biking in Canmore WAS going to be one of our trip highlights. Unfortunately renting bikes from Trailsports located right at the Nordic Centre was the low and left us extremely disappointed. Being shoulder season, we didn't anticipate it being busy (and it wasn't) - when we arrived there were many bikes out front but we... More

The Canmore Nordic Centre is a great year-round facility with excellent nordic skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer. The cross country skiing in winter features numerous trails for all ability levels. Some trails have snowmaking so conditions are usually fairly reliable, and grooming/tracksetting is done regularly for both classic and skate skiing. Trail Sports (on site) offers lessons,... More
