Allow 2 hours for your visit. They recommend to book in advance as there are timed tours, but we visited last week and had no problem. We did take an audio guide, as even my wife, who is French, couldn't clearly understand the French spoken by the tour guide, who was obviously not French. The tour was very interesting, with... More

This is a really well run and interesting. They have multilingual guides but for 4fr get an electronic guide. Would add that it is not for anyone slightly concerned with small spaces, the train takes you 1600m into the mountain and you are sitting down with inches above your head. Very interesting.

We really enjoyed our visit to the salt mines at Bex. It is a fascinating place (still a working mine) and the whole tour is pretty well organized. The highlight is definitely the 1.5 km journey on the special train deep into the mountain. Our guide gave all his explanations in French (they go by the majority of the people... More

On a rainy day in August, we decided to go and visit the Salt Mine at Bex and we were surprised in a very pleasant way. The place was busy but the guide was very good, friendly and professional. With a small train they take you into the mine and the guide explains what you see inside. You get a... More

Really interesting two hour guided visit accessible for all ages (except those in wheelchairs). The visit is surprisingly popular, so don't forget to reserve either on their website or by phone!

we visited the mine as it looked like the only thing to do in the rain and really enjoyed it. The guide spoke french but there were a couple of films with english, german and itaian subtitles. I never expected a salt mine to be so interesting! Not for claustrophobics however...the little train that takes you into the mine is... More

One not that nice day, we decided to go visit the Bex salt mine. We didn't have a reservation but we got in with a group at a time that wasn't even announced on the website. The tour is almost 3 hours long (could be shorter with better logistics) and very informative. I had visited a salt mine before but... More

The Bex salt mines looked like a good day out with the weather set to be wet. You can only enter the mine as part of an organised tour. As this day was busy we had to wait for 90 minutes. Confusingly there was nothing on our ticket (Chf 20 each) to say what tour we were booked on. It... More

Very good place to visit when the weather is not that nice. It is better to reserve your seat in advance saves queueing once you get there. Don't forget to take extra clothes as it's a lot colder in there. You take a little train and follow the guide through the tunnel. A lot of fun for small children and... More

It was an informative and interesting visit to learn of how salt is harvested from the sediments. The 1km ride on a trolley train I Thru the tight tunnel was very exciting. Worth a visit as it is such a unique attraction
