Lange Anna and Lummenfelsen

Amazing view of young birds and feeding parents on these rocks high over the Northsee in blistering winds and blue sky in late May.

The area around the upper part of Helgoland and Lange Anna, makes for great walking and sea and cliff views. Helgoland is very small, so it takes very little time to walk around it. In May and June there are a lot of sea birds to see. The highest point on the Island, Pinneberg is only 61.3 meters, so you... More

Impressive landscape, not only the rock itself but also the surroundings. Excellent bird-watching opportunity.

It is actually also great to spend some time at the Lange Anne besides the attraction itself. The walk around the cliffs is a sight to see, especially the Skitterhorn (Poop corner), which does its name proud. The location itself is great to watch the sun set while you cuddle together on one of the benches. It gives you a... More

I was amazed at the size of the Lange Anna. Larger than I expected and was really thrilled to see all the birds. The views from here are spectacular!

one can spot nothern gannets nesting and flying. best time for birds spotting is probably june. there is one village on the island, full of restaurants and pensions. to get tere you need to embark a ship. best port to do this is port of Cuxhaven. note, there is one cruise per day only.

There are daily trips to Helgoland. It is a nice experience to go by boat, visit the very small island up to the end to "Lange Anna". No cars around, you can just take a walk and breathe in the fresh North Sea air. Shopping is also recommandable at prices lower than onshore.

Really a sectacular location, a great place. You don't habe to be an ornithologist to enjoy the view of thousands of birds at the rocks there and - especially on a sunny day - you're just overwhelmed by nature's beauty, at least I was. I was there just for a day, but could imagine spending couple of days or a... More

The walk along the ridge is great! Remember that you are 60 meters above sea level!
