This is a great place to spend time (hours!!) to explore all exhibitions arrayed over two levels. Trains, planes, automobiles, fire engines, space travel, bicycles, etc... It also has a restaurant adjunct to the facility - so a whole day out here is well recommended.

...but there is so much that you can get into, rather than just look - cars, buses, bikes, boats, planes, even a submarine - it's not everywhere that you get to walk along the wing of a Jumbo jet 20m above the ground (you might need a head for heights). Ideally this is a place to visit for a full... More

I really don't have enough words to express my surprise with Technik Museum! It is absolutely fantastic experience and really great vision. You have a opportunity to see, feel and how it is to be a submariner, pilot, captain and you can do that by climbing on there models which are - quite unique - on the height of few... More

Its not often that you can go inside a WW2 U-Boat, or a Jumbo jet, or a Rescue vessel, but all this is possible at this amazing museum. The space shuttle section is ,however, the best of all the exhibits. This is a museum that allows you to go inside many exhibits and covers a wide range of interests. It... More

Our son and I visited and fell in love with the museum. We're both "Gearheads" in addition to loving aircraft, boats, trains, you name it if it is mechanical. Our son still speaks about it, and in fact mentioned one of his best friends just visited last week, so they spent hours talking about the exhibits last night. If you... More

If you can, just go. Its all been said before. Two buildings along with outside displays full of planes, trains, vehicles, motor cycles, etc. You leave just awestruck. Go to the museum next door (Historisches Museum der Pfalz) as it is included in the price.

This is of course the main attraction in the town of Speyer. Travel along the road and you can't miss it. A must if you are in the area for people with interest in historic vehicles. The slide down the 747 jet is quite novel, and can accomodate adults as well as kids.
