My boyfriend and I live in Luxembourg and went for a day in Bernkastel. At first we wanted to go for a little wine tasting and go back home at night. We ended up in a cave with 2 couples of germans drinking wine for 10 hours straight!!! hahaha Such a fun experience!!! Of course we didn't drive back home... More

Beautiful little town set in the middle of the wine country. Great architecture and history. I would recommend that you enlist the services of one of the many knowledgeable guides. we diod, and she added so much to our visit.

Bernkastel is one of the prettiest towns I've ever visited, with the most stunning half timbered buildings in it's historic centre it's a photographers delight, there are lots of little shops down the side streets and good cafes too

.... and try to get an accomodation over here. The city is small, but very cozy. With its medieval square one of the most pure I have ever seen in Germany, full of "Fachwerkhauze". And it is between the cities mentioned in the header. So it ks very easy to disckver these on a daytrip. And because if is less... More

Bernkastel-kues is one of my favourite places I've visited in Germany. The little hidden trail that are made up of cafe's restaurants and shops is a very enjoyable experience to see. Such a delight to see this well kept town and river Moselle which runs straight through. The tourist information had a lot of helpful information for the must see's... More

25th October 2014. We were waiting for our flight home, and killing time decided to stop at Bernkastel-Kues. Great decision! It's a delightful town, full of beautiful buildings; quaint alleys and squares; cobbled streets; some interesting wine shops; and lots of other shops; and chocabloc with restaurants. It was busy too - not surprising for such a lovely little town.... More

Stopped off here on way to Barden-barden after reading about it in a travel magazine. So glad we did as such a pretty town . Looked like something out of Chitty-chitty bang bang, when the child catcher is around! It was really busy and we struggled to get into a restaurant. Loads of quaint shops selling all sorts of things.... More

My husband lost his glasses on a recent trip to the town. After searching he went to ask if they had been handed in at the 'lost and found' office . The lady behind the desk was very intimidating to the point where He did not feel it appropriate to leave my details or was even offered the chance to.This... More

Leaning buildings of Bernkastel makes you head go crazy! Add to this the historic beauty, the art, the colours, wines, and narrow streets - well if you have wished for a perfect heady recipe this would be it. BErnkastel - Kues is a beautiful village by the Moselle river in Germany. For those uninitiated connoisseurs of wine, stop whining about... More

This is a most attractive village and our visit was enhanced by the Christmas Market, with lots of attractive stalls, some selling the obligatory gluhwein and bratwurst. Although it was crowded, being two weeks before Christmas, car par space was plentiful alongside the Mosel river. A downside was the price the wine shops were asking for their wares, considering the... More
