We were greeted heartily by an elderly lady when we arrived at the Zeppelin Museum in Meersburg. It wasn't hard to find, as it was next to a castle in the old city. This lady explained about the museum and then showed us a documentary about the Zeppelin. It used to be a luxurious means to fly. They had restaurants... More

Four of us visited on Monday September 21. Wow! Today we take for granted many of the methods of construction. In this time they even had to invent their construction tools. Stop and spend some time in this museum. Highly recommended

We were extremely impressed by the number of exhibits displayed, it's a wonderful collection from an interesting era. The enthusiasm of the lady in charge made the visit even more enjoyable. We found the video (English version) extremely interesting and informative. Well worth a visit.

This is a beautifully-laid out museum in what looks like a stream-limed modern building but is actuall the old Harbour train station built in the 1930s, right by the lake in the middle of Friedrichshafen. Your visit will tell you everything and more that you ever wanted to know about the development of airships. There are maps, documents, exhibits, and... More

Very good, interesting place. Try visit at quieter times if you want to read the info to avoid people standing in front of you. Hand held info phone is worth the extra info, especially if your German is not where it should be, as mine isn't, make sure you have some ID to hand in as collateral for it! Lots... More

Must see! The access to the Zeppelin is amazing. The informative displays are extraordinary. They have interactive things for the kids too. The amount of saved history is mind blowing. I went with my husband and I was prepared to look at few displays and then look for the chairs in each room. Not the case. I looked at nearly... More

A very interesting and well designed museum. Interesting for all ages. The display of what life was like onboard was well done.

It was tinier than we'd expected! You'll see the end of the room/museum from the counter where you'll pay 4 euros to enter. In one corner, there are chairs for a screening of an old documentary on the Zeppelin, entirely in German. As others have pointed out, non-German speakers will have a hard time understanding the documents/photos/items on display as... More

Heard only good things about this one of a kind museum in Meersburg, Germany. We went there full of hopes and dreams, probably similar to the feeling that the passenger and crew of the LZ 129 Hindenburg had before it took off on May 6 1937. Upon arrival, the staff informed us that all the information is in german. As... More
