Beautiful gardens that reminded me of Versailles!. Gorgeous ponds, flowers and lawns. I haven't visited too much of the interior in my 3 visits, however. The restaurants outside of the front gates are a great place for Sunday brunch.

Expansive parklands, lakes. canals, ruins. This is a beautiful tranquil place to spend time relaxing when your in Schwetzingen. I visit the gardens every time I visit just to unwind. 5 euro admission.

I thought that this garden was even more gorgeous than Versailles. It is huge place so you need probably half a day to look around the whole thing. They have flowers, fountains, sculptures and beautiful buildings. A little bit confusing to get around but anywhere you go will be lovely.

Very close to Mannheim (20 min train), the gardens are the greatest attraction. There's also a very nice bakery nearby with great products. Definitely worth the visit

Nice place to walk arround, lots of information good weather so that made it even nicer. Good views of the countryside does contain some climbing of old stairs so not sure iff it's accesible for invalid people.

I visited here as an excursion with the group tour that I was on and we had a wonderful visit. While the castle was not open, we visited the bath house that was in the garden which was very neat. The gardens themselves are expansive and beautiful. There is a lot to explore and see. I would definitely recommend a... More

Very impressive gardens that you can get lost in for a day. During the summer months there operas and concerts. Some hotels have free passes that you can use.

I went on the beggining of the spring to see the cherryblossoms. It was amazing! The gardens is incredible. And is very cheap. Free for students, I think. There is nothing to do in the village, but easily you can spend the whole day around the gardens. I went again without the cherry blossoms, and the garden is amazing. Keep... More

I was in the Heidelberg region in beginning of July 2015, when temperature raised so much that it was hard to stand the heat. I was advised to spend time in Schwetzingen park, right behind the castle. And it was a good piece of advice. The place is as beautiful as "refreshing" because of numerous high trees and lakes.
