Families go to the large indoor pool area in winter and it is like we in Australia would go to the beach for the day. The temperature is like a warm summers day and the pool is large with currents and jets as well as greenery. If you are staying in the hotel that is attached to Ostsee Therme you... More

The "Ostsee Therme" is a very large swimming pool plus sauna in Scharbeutz, which is located close to Lübeck and it is directly on the Baltic Sea so you can even take a swim there to cool down. The place is very often over-crowded on the weekends especially during the winter months and if you look too closely you will... More

If it is Friday afternoon and you are so tired after long working week it is the best place where to start you weekend. Sauna from 65° till 95°. And when you think that you have seen everything and have been everywhere you discover a magic of swimming pool on a roof.

We visited the Ostseetherme in February and it was a great afternoon out. We stayed at the Hotel Grand Belveder next door, with access to the Therme virtually from our rooms. The water was nice, warm and clean. Especially the Saltwater Vitalbad was great and relaxing. There were renovations happening while we visited, but that was of no concern to... More

I wouldn't go there on a sunny day beacuse the beach might be funnier. But it's a really nice place. You Can swim indoor and outdoor. There is to slides (for bigger children and grownups) and a fun area for small children. The air and the water is warm and nice. There is a panorama cafe but don't expect anything... More

A friend and I went there on a trip to Lübeck (it's only 15 min away by train) and we loved it! It's very big, with a huge swimming pool downstairs, mainly for the kids, a salt water swimming pool, very relaxing, sme nice (but not scary) slides and the saunas. So, be careful, saunas in Germany are textilefrei, which... More
