I booked our tour through email but there were no English tours available during our trip. We decided to go anyway because we had read that it was worth it even without understanding the guide. It took a while to get there on public transportation from Munich and there isn't much to do by the brewery if you get there... More

The tour of the brewery was comprehensive and interesting. The fun came during the hour and a half after the tour when we did our tasting. Everyone gets two sausages and 2 pretzels with mustard. You may taste all of the beers they have to offer that day, which was 8. Unless insructed otherwise, they are served in .5 litre... More

Give yourself about 3.5 hours for the tour. And about 20 mins to get there/back from/to the Erding train station. The first half is a video (in English and then German) followed by the tour (normally in German, unless there is a big enough group of English speakers). If you have done Brewery tours before the tour in German is... More

Got in touch and was told there was no English tour running but they'd show us a film in English and we could follow a German tour if we wished. Took up this option and when we arrived was pleased to find they'd actually split the group so we did have an English tour which was unexpected but appreciated. Your... More

This review is quite simple. Pay your money and drink the beers. There are 7/8 different beers to try and they will supply them to you after the tour. The skill is picking the right beers at the right stage in the short time you have to drink it. You have an hour and a half or so to get... More

OK so here is the bottom line. Go, take the tour and enjoy a wonderful tasting afterwards. The S2 train runs to Erding from Munich. Take the 340 bus or a taxi to the brewery. Allocate a good 2 hours or more. The tour does not take that long. But, the after tour tasting includes white sausages, pretzels and your... More

We ate at Erdinger's Biergarten, and it was a nice evening in May 2013. The menu was varied, had some interesting choices not found in other restaurants we'd been to (this was at the tail end of our Germany trip...which was 2 weeks in Wiesbaden, Black Forest, and southern Bavaria). The beer of course, was excellent per my fiance, and... More

We'd love to go back to this brewery (which took some effort to get to by train (S2) and then local city bus No 540 - so nearly 1.5 hours to get there). We didn't realise that the brewery would not be in operation on a Saturday (we should have checked this out) and that it would matter so much... More

This was our fourth visit to the Erdinger brewery and it's still a hit! With the exception of a tour guide who struggled with her English (she was a last minute substitute who usually does the Italian language tours), our plant tour is still amazing. Try not to go on a weekend - our Saturday visit did not allow us... More

It takes a little bit to get to Erding and the Erdinger Brewery from Munich, but it’s worth every minute. I believe the train ride was about 45 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof in Munich. Then the Brewery is not close to the train station in Erding, if you have time you can walk it, if not just take a taxi.... More
