We loved it, although we were tired due to other activities before this. Beautiful cruise, good options for snack and drinks on board. Excellent big boats as well.

We did a day tour on the Vater Rhine Cruise boat. It was a terrific day which provided a great way to see the small towns the many castles and the countryside in general. I was hard to believe how fast the current was on Rhine River. We stopped and got off and had lunch at the Anker restaurant. A... More

AFTER GROWING UP HEARING ABOUT THIS MIGHT RIVER, it was a pleasent day trip to tour the Dusseldorf area. The cruise was all inclusive drinks, and the weather was warm. Togheter with my sister, who lives in Dusseldorf, we toured the area. Very nice, and enjoyable. A good view of the local flair for building designs and culture.

This was the highlight of my trip in Germany. This area was so beautiful. Enjoyed seeing the castles nestled in those beautiful green hills/mountains. I recommend sitting at the top deck as you will get a better view than on the inside. If you sit on the inside, your pictures you take will not be clear because the windows could have... More

Food and drink are available for those and for those who desire beer and wine can be purchase too. Please don't sit inside go all the way to the open air view on the top of the boat or you'll... I have done several short cruises but this one is class apart, prefer to do a cruise which is approx 2 hours , more the time the better it is. What a view you get wen u are on the cruise - hills, castles, tunnels, trains u can c all in one go.

We took the most scenic portion of the river cruise stopped by St. Goar for its Rhinefels Castle and then return to Bacharach. The experience was great, a little touristy but in general a fun ride. There were lots of Kodak moments, sit on the right side from Bacharach to St. Goar get you the best views.

We used the Köln Düsseldorfer companys ships two times, from Rudesheim and downriver to Boppard, and the return from Boppard to Bingen. Two different ships, The father Rhein has a large sundeck where you can sit outside, weather permitting and enjoy the sights. The Goethe, a 101 year old paddlewheeler has a smal sundeck, but a ever so nice restaurant where... More

Taking the cruise trip is really something that you can completely see all the castles along the river, however when you choose the cruise direction, it will be much faster if you go direction from Mainz to Cologne rather than the other way around because of the river current.
