Even though we had a rainy day - it was great. There are so many castles, castle ruins, catherdrals and small towns/villages along the Rhine. If you didn't get the picture one way, you could get it on the way back. Our tour went south on the middle Rhine and took a a couple of hours. Looking at a map... More

My famiy and I had a great day on the Rhine River. The boat was beautiful with ample seating, very clean and tastefully docorated. The desert was delicious. One of the best values for a 5-6 hour roundtrip cruise. The cost was about 25 dollars. We stopped at St Goar and had a wonderful lunch at a charming bakery/cafe.

We took the KD Cruise from Bacharach to Rudesheim. And it was just wonderful! Breathtaking views of the Rhine, awesome castles, beautiful small towns. The restaurant on the lower deck offers great food and excellent service, while still offering great views through the clear glass windows. We chose Rudesheim due to its popular cable car ride above the vineyards. And... More

Avalon Rhine Cruise from Basel to Amsterdam. Super, wonderful, fulfilled all our expectations. With two other couples, all from Australia we cruised from Basel to Amsterdam, a 12 day trip which included the beautiful Moselle. From our moment of arriving on board until departure we were well catered for. The excursions were well run and the local tour guides provided... More

This is neat. You get a great view of the castles. I drove the route a few weeks after this and would recommend driving it vice the boat. But if you have kids or just want to take it slower take the boat. You could take the boat one way up the river and the train the other way back.... More

Very pleasant cruise down the Rheine. Purchased the local wine on board and received a souvenir glass to bring home, which was a lovely touch.

You have to take a Rhine cruise when you are there. Every town is more historic and quaint than the next. Each one has a Schloss (Castle) and it is just the most fantastic fairy tale journey. You are cruising along a waterway steeped in a thousand years (maybe more) of history,

The one hour river Rhine cruise is a great way to spend an hour. You can sit up on deck (or below). Drinks and snacks available. Options for travel in either direction or a round trip.

The Rhine river day trip was an excellent way to get a peak at the beauty of the Rhine river valley with its castles and towns nestled in the hillsides. The motor coach ride from Frankfurt was conformable and painless allowing you to get a view of the country around Frankfurt. Lunch was very well organized with a chance to... More
