Reasonable cost for a family. Lots of interesting things to see. I went with a 16 yr old and two 12 year old girls and we were able to chat all around. Staff were informative and willing to get into debates with the kids. Will be going back again. To make best use start early.

Beamish is a wonderful place - best if the weather is good as there isn't a lot of cover if it is raining. Best part is that the ticket last 12 months. You won't see everything in a day and what you do see will be worth another look later. Everyone was friendly and helpful. No age restrictions - something... More

Take a journey back into 1913 - there's plenty to see e.g. the town and the colliery village and the opportunity to go down a "drift" coal mine!!! Not to mention - the dentist's, the solicitors, the shops and garages, and Pockerley Manor ( dating back to the 15th Century and farmed to the 1990's), A perfect place - a... More

Absolutely great experience visiting this 'working' museum. The mining area took me back to days of my childhood visiting Grandparents. Very informative and the villagers are all in period dress and act the parts. A lot to take in in one day, however the passes do allow you to revisit during the next twelve months. The Fish and Chips without... More

Had an excellent day at Beamish. As soon as you pay and enter the dark room you are sent back to the olden days. Had a great time riding on the trams and buses. Enjoyed by all the family. Great looking around the four areas. Look out for the pink pig that likes to rest his feet on the top... More

We arrived here at 9.30am .It says 10am opening but we were allowed in.It cost £18 each to get in,but the tickets are valid for a year. This means if you are in the area again ,you can visit again. Which I think we will. You can go on the tram, steam train and buses inside to get you around. They cater for... More

Had a great day at this oldie worldy place. It was like going back in time. The town and the pit village were my favourites and the old trams and busses were great. A good experience for all ages.

Having not been for 20 years I was so excited to see if I could remember any of it. It was a brilliant day out for the whole family or for us a group.of really good friends having a great day out catching up. Had a fantastic picnic up at the farm before walking round and trying to see everything... More
