The house was full of objects collected by a Charles Wade. I found this collection a little unusual and not what I would expect in a National Trust house. I loved the walk down from the house, having catching the free buggy up. The gardens and the view from the house were very pleasant and a really good cafe for... More

This was our first visit to this National Trust property. We did get mixed up between the village car park and the National Trust one . so maybe clearer sign posting? It is quite a long walk from the car park to the house but you can get a lift in the free buggy but you do need to be... More

One of our best memories of Snowshill was the wonderful view from the restaurant, its gone! Trees have grown up and obscured one of the best loved features. Pleasant walk down to the manor with little comment boards about ants, sheep etc. Having been to the manor before we just enjoyed the orchard and gardens together with the Priests House... More

Perched on a hillside just outside Broadway, Snowshill Manor & Garden is a little different! The garden consists of different terraced areas and contain some unique artefacts, including Charles Wade's home-made model village. Unfortunately this was undergoing refurb when I visited but you can see some buildings in the storage barn. The Manor is crammed with just some of Mr... More

What an interesting and beautiful place to visit. Quite hilly, mum was quite puffed out walking to and from the house, wouldn't give up and use the free bus, so don't be put off by the hills.

Yep as the title suggests mixed up. Sure to divide opinion Garden and Manor. Beautiful setting. But a 10 min walk up from entrance to manor and gardens isn't actually very informative or helpful unlike the buggy available and it's driver. The garden is very very appealing and attracted people from across the world. The manor is stuffed with enthusiastic... More

A lovely house and gardens, model fishing village too. The collections in the main house are somewhat odd but very interesting. Some fascinating pieces, some bizarre and some just odd but all equally interesting. A truly different experience to most NT properties. We didn't stay for food as the queue was far too long at 1345 on a damp Sunday.

We returned to this venue for a wander round the gardens and cafe mainly, as we'd been to the house before and it wasn't to our taste (clearly, modern psychiatry would have something to say about Charles Wade's penchant for collecting). The gardens are lovely, but the cafe needs to improve its offer, hence this review. My tiny square of... More

Absolutely loved the visit to Snowshill. Thank goodness for the great British eccentric, and for the National Trust for doing such a great job to preserve and present it all so authentically! I especially enjoyed the Priests house- couldn't quite believe my eyes! Gardens were beautiful at this time of year. Well worth a visit!

This has to be one of the best National Trust properties in the whole country! Not only is it set in an amazing part of the Cotswolds and is really picturesque, but it has a collection of such diversity and interest that you could spend absolutely ages here. We've been back several times and always find something we hadn't noticed... More
