If you're visiting the Golan region, and fancy a short but worthwhile stop and walk, you MUST visit the Hexagon Pools (brichot haMeshushim/בריכת המשושים). There's a few options for walks, but the easiest one is pretty great! 20 min walk down to the pool, and then an opportunity to swim in the cool water. It's not clear, but it's perfectly... More

This hike was very solid and on par with other hikes in Israel. First off, if you are coming from Qatsrin (or Golan Garden Hostel) in order to get to the waterfalls you need to follow the dirt path. There is a paved bike path that leads to the left upon entering but do not be fooled. Take the dirt... More

We visited the area for a day and hiked the upper Yehudia trail. The old and famous wet walk one is closed since a couple of years, this trail just opened this year. The trail itself is shorter than the previous ones but still very nice (2 hours roundtrip). The parkrangers gave us a good detailed map. The walk itself... More

I did one hike here and it was lovely! Including the opportunity for a swim. The weather was not great, so next time it will be even more awesome!

The tracks are circle and short about 5-8 km ,some of them are water tracks. They give you a map and instuction abot the place.

Stream undermining the hard basalt rocks along the fragment of an ancient lava and basalt layers flowed here 4.5 million years ago to 60,000 years ago, accompanied by stunning landscapes and cold pools, waterfalls and impressive track circuits. It is possible to also make a square track nearest stream. Over the river is the Jewish village called Yehudia, early Roman... More

Last week, I went hiking in Yehudiya twice. You need your own wheels to reach the starting point of both hikes. The first hike was "the short trail of Upper Zavitan Canyon". It starts and ends at The Sheikh Hussein Ruins parking lot. At first you walk on an easy flat dirt path, then you have to cross a shallow... More

We hiked along the Zavitan stream to the hexagonal pools. Luckily, we had good weather and the wild flowers were in bloom. Did not realize that we would be crossing the stream, got a little wet. Well-worth finding this park. The rangers were quite helpful charting a route suitable for our ability.
