On the road from Wellington to Napier, we overnighted at Waipukurau and decided on a scenic diversion to see the longest place name in the world. Number one on my New Zealand bucket list. Turn left off Highway 2 at Wimbledon and head towards Porangahau (nice church, well worth the visit).
