Les Gets not the place to be for experienced skiers. The connection to the rest of Porte duSoleil is to complicated and it takes al long time to go to Avoriaz. Better choose Chatel or Avoriaz for the real powder.

It is a great area of France to ski, it's very close to GVA airport. The slopes tend to be to one side of the town, but in mid March the slopes aren't too busy, the atmosphere is nice and friendly. Good evening entertainment and restaurants. The busier town of Morzine isn't too far away, which provides more entertainment for...

Huge resort, reasonable prices, one can stay for a week and not repeat a slope. Good restaurants up on the mountains, the various slopes are well sign posted so you can't get lost.
Shortish transfer from Geneva. Traditional town with a variety of eating places and accommodation. Good Carrefour in centre of town plus usual food shops you'd expect in French towns. Express 6 man chair + gondola from centre of town. Two other starting points at end of town. One serves South facing slopes which we didn't use but were recommended. Ski...

We have just finished a week long holiday in Les Gets. We were all beginners and found the resort to have a great selection of runs to suit our ability. There are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from on the slopes. The only down side was the weather, which is of course pot luck. Most days were a 'white...

Great resort for skiing, very quiet and snow conditions were excellent. Great access to Morzine and Avoriaz areas.
Having visited several European resorts Les Gets stands out as one of the best. We skied the smaller Morzine/Les Gets area which was plenty for 3 days skiing. Masses of runs to choose from over a wide area with a really good mix of wide open bowls as well as lovely wooded tracks. Thankfully conditions were ideal with fresh snow...

Overall Les Gets is a really nice place to ski.
I'll start with the things that could be better. Les Gets is part of Les Portes du Soleil but it's in a "corner" of the domain, and the rest of the domain is difficult to reach. Therefore you are kind of stuck in the Morzine/Les Gets resort, which won't be...

Excellent skiing, and empty slopes? What more could you want? Did the Yeti Black in the 'Back Bowl' and some excellent reds. Would recommend this resort?
