Skiing in Les Gets

Love the village, sunny, easy to get around, great slopes with easy access. Lots of nice bars and restaurants. Not flash, just great and lovely.

its a good resort with plenty of runs and some safe off-piste between lifts/trees. don't expect a easy run to Morzeine along the blue, its very flat so if boarding expect to unstrap and walk some of the way

Great slopes, but a little low to have guaranteed awesome snow. The real highlight is the restaurants, the cafes and food on and off the pistes. There are some incredible spots to stop and have a beer and a lunch while on piste and there are some really rather excellent restaurants in town too. What it isn't is a party... More

We have been to Les Gets 3 times now and would even go so far to say I would love to buy a property there if I could afford it. It is beautiful with chalet style buildings rather than concrete blocks including any new properties being built. It is great for children with good skiing facilities and also entertainment when... Lovely pretty resort (for a French alpine ski area). We were lucky in that it snowed early in our stay so had plenty of fresh powder, you'll need to check on Ski conditions as it probably isn't as snow sure as the higher French resorts, can get busy at weekends with the "drive up" visitors. Plenty of shops and activities... More

Well run and linked lifts, wide pistes and plenty of tree runs that were proper pistes not just snowy, narrow roads. Reds and blues a plenty with some blacks of various difficulties and some wide areas for learning. I suspect there is not enough here for experts or for novices who are not complete beginners but perfect for intermediates.
