The ski area is bigger than the map suggests. We only just managed to fill in the map in our week holiday. The is a good variety of pistes from easy to difficult, and there are lots of green runs for beginners. The lower slopes have dedicated green slope areas for beginners and lessons. Mid mountain there are several red... More

Usually go to Val Claret in Tignes but this year we tried Les Deux Alpes and have been very impressed. Lots of runs and lifts. The lifts seemed to run from all different areas of the resort so the slopes were easily accessible. Good range of shops and eateries. Lovely ice skating rink and heated outdoor pool.

I have been to L2A 6 times now. It has plenty to do for everyone. My daughter loves it and has been with me each year and now knows her way around the mountains better than I do. There are lairy places for apres and chilled places if you have kids. It took me years to believe that the best... More

There's a perception that Les Deux is THE best resort for beginner snowhounds, amd it does have a very large complement of blue runs, together with a smattering of reds and a roughly equal few blacks for the hardcore. BUT, it looks like the ratings are measured on an AVERAGE descent - some of the blues have some fairly steep... More

Large skiing area, high altitudes up to 3600 meters which means that you are assured to get some kind of snow cover. You can even ski until June on the glacier. Good number of restaurants and pubs in town. Only drawback is the steep hills at the foot of the village. Otherwise great fantastic views all the way to Mont... More

a much needed glacier at the moment as we have no snow lower down ! loads of lifts and runs for all abilities. lots to do in town plus your ski pass gets u entry into the swimming pool and ice rink. lots of restaurants on the pistes which are the same high standard as in town.

Great place to visit, there's something for everyone at the resort and caters for beginners. As a boarder it is a little limited for runs if your just starting out. If your there for more than a week you can go to other resorts for a day if you've brought a 6+ day lift pass which breaks up the time.... More
