La Clusaz is such a fantastic little find. It is a small resort so I probably wouldn't go for a full week. However, it is perfect for a short weekend break. It is only 50 minutes from Geneva, the resort has a decent amount of runs for a weekend break and is a very pretty French mountain town with lots... More

A family visit with our son and his wife, their two children and we two grandparents. My first ever visit to the ski slopes and we think it's lovely. A 4 kilometre drive to the nearest functioning piste and delightfully easy for our 3 year-old grand daughter to start her skiing lessons and achieve a form of competency in two... More

Nice and low key, skiing much better than people think - just because the town is low - there is a huge amount of high(er) altitude skiing - people think that further up is better - not true ! the French know what they are doing, and tend to keep places like this a little quieter !!

We usually snowboard but this resort has long flat runs linking the different sections and so we skiied whilst here. There are great long runs to be had and our ski instructor (an excellent character by the name of Renaud) really helped our skiing to improve. There are some lovely little places to eat on the slopes, a lovely little... More

The view was the most amazing thing I have ever see, it was snowing slightly and we went by car. It is perfect for kids, people who doesnt know how to sky and to just scape the city life. The crepes were amazing.

Empty - no lift queues, no one on the slopes, but still had pretty good snow in spite of no snow cannons

Lots of great long blues and reds, plenty for beginners and off-pisters too. Pretty compact, lots of high slopes, plenty snow-makers, but pretty heavy-going lower down in the afternoons.

Only 1 hr drive from Geneva. Still a very "French" resort with plenty of charm. The resort has seen significant investment in lift capacity over the lat 2-3 years. Good ski area for a short trip but not quite enough for a week. Good off-piste without too much yomping. Village is reasonably compact and easy to get around. Great choice... More

Very picturesque, friendly and close to Geneva. If you stay on piste there is not a huge amount of skiing and I would recommend getting over to Grand Bonnard as well. There are some great red Runs and loads of off piste in La clusaz. Not enough on piste for more than 3 days for good intermediate and above. Its... More

What an exhilarating day! We are not especially experienced on the slopes, but the diversity of La Clusaz gave ample opportunity to stretch our experience and gain new skills. The snow was powdery and the scenery spectacular. Champagne afterwards was delicious. Highly recommended - and only an hour from Geneve.
