This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We took the Boat tour that leaves from Marseille Harbour and paid 20euro for a 2 to 3 hours tour. The water and cliffs were incredibly beautiful! A must do! Tip: Pack your sunblock and sunglasses or a hat!

You can choose a 2 hour 15 minute trip or one an hour longer. Either way, you won't be disappointed. The boats only travel when the weather is good, which is most of the time, and they have developed a great formula, they go in to the main Calanques, and at times go very close to the majestic cliffs giving... I went on spring vacation to France and Spain with my senior class last year, and this was one of the moments that most stood out in my mind. The water was crystalline blue, and the sands white. We could see fish and the sea bed. I usually become sea sick, but that was no issue, which was delightful! I... More

We took the boat ride and did 5 calanques which was plenty as the scenery starts to get repetitive. Tickets were easy to obtain and there are lots of boats going out. This is a very popular activity. Stay at the back of the boat as it can get very wet upfront. The guide only spoke French but the trip... More

Enjoyed the 3 stops. Anything beyond that I think would look all the same. easy to purchase tickets at the kiosk. Recommend sitting in back of boat those up front got wet. Didn't bother us that we couldn't understand the tour guide as it was in French, just enjoyed the scenery. Only thing I think may change the experience, go... More

Ater spending the past 6 years visiting Provence and the South of Fance, I finally made it to Cassis...and how I wish I have visited sooner. What a spectacular place. The scenery is magnificent and the crystal clear waters of the Calangues a must. We took the shorter excursion from the port of Cassis onboard the Asterix 3 - A... More

We only took the 3 Calanques tours (the shortest one) but it was enough to give us an idea of what they are about. We liked the scenery in the Calanques (trees and white stone) along with the view of Cassis from the water. The commentary was interesting also. We enjoyed it. It was under an hour.

We took the 3.15 hour tour from Marseille which stopped at all the calanques until Cassis. It was very nice and the french commentary was understandable. Make sure you wait at the gate early as the queue gets long. They tell you to be there 15 minutes before but 30/45 mins is better. Sit on the top left side for... More

We had been very excited about the boat trip but were let down. It was about a 1.5 hours and we had spent about 30 euro each. While the views were beautiful, they became redundant. The boat ride itself was not very exciting either as the commentary was in French (you got books for other languages) and you did not... More

I was driving by myself and was worried about finding parking but right in town, just following the blue "P" signs and into an underground garage. It was a bit pricey, but what beach town isn't? I wandered down to the harbor, easily found the yellow kiosk and with no French needed, bought my ticket for the 5 calanques tour.... More
