I was driving by myself and was worried about finding parking but right in town, just following the blue "P" signs and into an underground garage. It was a bit pricey, but what beach town isn't? I wandered down to the harbor, easily found the yellow kiosk and with no French needed, bought my ticket for the 5 calanques tour.... More

Was really great. Get a little bit wet if the wind is up. But the 90 minutes flew by and we got to see 8 Calanques. Admittedly, some are more like dents on the coastline rather than inlets, but spectacular all the same. The commentary is in French, so we weren't too sure what was being said. You buy a ticket from the outdoor booth then board one of many tour boats that takes you out the Cassis harbour, carefully passing random kayakers and board paddlers. The cliffs near Cassis are stunningly beautiful and one gets great views of them from the boats. Our boat contained both French and English speakers but the commentary was only in... More

What a beautiful area this is and what a great way to see it! We enjoyed our 3 calanques (coves) boat tour. The third calanque you see on this tour is known as the most beautiful of all the calanques, but still, I think I would have enjoyed seeing #4 and #5 on the 5-calanque tour. We sat in the... More

We have visited the Calanques many times before, walking from Cassis, Marseille and the University Campus. However the boat trip provided a completely different perspective on this magnificent location. We chose the 8 Calanques trip, which took an hour and a half. This gave us a great view of some of the Calanques we had visited in the past, but... More

The calanques tour boats are located conveniently close to the Cassis harbor with ticket kiosk nearby. Although the kiosk is described as yellow, it has a brown roof, it is best described as being in the park near the restaurants. The 45 minute tour was perfect for those in our party of nine with weak stomachs and it was sufficient... More

Several boats were available that offered different trips with different lengths. We took the three hour boat ride from Cassis. Although the commentary on board was in French we were handed pamphlets in English which explained the sights we saw. A very relaxing boat ride with great views.

Whether it be a motor boat or kayak you should definitely experience the calanques at your own pace. And swim in one of them. My favorite is En Vau. With locabato you can rent a boat without a permit, you can anchor in the calanques, swim and have a picnic. There is a small ladder by the engine to help... More

We took the three calanques trip in about 1hour very enjoyable Great day. The three calanques trip uses a small boat, it's about thirty feet. Much better than the larger boats for photograph
