Very good food in a delightfuly setting

Not your normal bistro menu, but everything we tried was very well prepared with first class ingredients and imagination.

Unfortunately the Chateau was under construction when we visited so the place wasn't looking its best but it is a pretty setting. The tasting room staff were less than friendly in a very French way. It appeared that we were not at all welcome but they could tolerate us as long as we didn't ask too many stupid questions. Not... More

This is a strange place. I think it's owned by Swiss folks and there is a lot of Italian references in the restaurant, despite being in Provence. The menu, while not large, was very good, with a good selection of pastas, fish, salads, etc. It did seem a bit formulaic to me, however. A bit too touristy. But the food... More

I took 26 students and adults to France and requested a cultural component on our visit. This is what the travel agent signed us up for. We completed an very informative tour of the winery and wine tasting before being served a sumptuous lunch. It was truly an amazing experience. Even though we toured much of France, many people placed... More

After tasting one of the wines at a local restaurant we to, like others before us set out to find the chateau. The wines are mid range to £££, the staff at the wine tasting were knowledgable, friendly and not at all pushy sales people. Then we found the bistro, and spent a fabulous sunny autumn afternoon eating lunch Al... More

As you drive out of Fontvieille on the way to Les Baux-de-Provence or to Le Paradou & Maussane, do not miss on the left hand side (next to the intersection for Saint-Gabriel & Tarascon) this wonderful estate named château d'Estoublon! This is a gem. A small road across some vineyards leads to the main gate. The estate park starts here... More

We 4 adults visited to taste and buy some of the vinyard's wine, which 3 of our party had drank and enjoyed a few days before at a dinner. The vinyard is in a delightful setting, the buildings are beautiful and the atmosphere is very classy. There is a nice restaurant to enjoy a quiet drink in, or to have... More

I highly recommend trying to get a reservation for their weekend brunch buffet. There were so many interesting choices, all delicious! I particularly loved all the dessert choices. The staff were very friendly and the winery and olive groves were very picturesque and well maintained. Definitely would recommend anyone passing nearby to stop, even just to check out the amazingly... More

We were blown away when we entered the gates...this is what we had come to Provence to see! The grounds and buildings are stunning with beautifully manicured gardens, flowers, and STYLE! Bought several delicious wines, olive oils, and tapenades after an informal, but informative tasting in the attractive shop. Visit the boutique upstairs just to see it! What a surprise... More

We randomly picked this winery after a small amount of on-line research and stopped on our way from Aix to Les Baux. It turned out to be a wonderful afternoon. It is a very beautiful piece of property. We enjoyed a walk around the vineyards and olive groves, reading about the types of grapes grown. The shop was lovely and... More
