Stunning beach, well worth making the time to stop if you are early for a ferry. Our second visit, free parking is a bonus!

It's a bit of a walk from the town (10-15 mins depending on how fast you walk) but it's worth it. Wide expanses of sandy beach with a shallow sea perfect for paddling and swimming. Cafes and ice cream all on hand and very proactive life guards!

The beach is virtually in town. Parking is possible very close. Several restaurants in the vicinity, best one is Le Channel. Sand was spotless, and hardly anybody there.

We found the beach in Calais to be a very long and clean golden sandbeach. It's fascinating to see the tide movements and the ferries going in and out of the port. You have to walk a bit to get a cup of coffee. Tip: The further south you go, the better it gets ;-)

Within walking distance of holiday inn. The part of the beach we were on was clean and quiet, and there were other families enjoying the warm early evening.

Calais beach is beautiful. When we visit Rue Royal we usually walk up to the beach for a stroll. In good weather we paddle on the beach and if not we just go for a bracing stroll. Fantastic view, beautiful sand and great area. Sad that the Brits usually drive passed it all.

Was a good sandy beach before the Migrants trying to get to England arrived now bloked off with campervans in the summer, and migrants wandering around thieving and making a nuisance.police don`t seem to move them on.

Clean beach, nice soft sand and water clean though too cool for personal taste. Kids enjoyed walk on jetty to see ferries in action.

It's a camping site for immigrants waiting to get to the UK with rubbish sprawled everywhere! Not particularly a nice area to visit and there is a general feeling of unsafeness
