As we had visit Amiens' cathedral, this one is the tallest!! During construction it collapsed several times. And now you can see the enforcement, needed to keep the high ceiling up. But a must to visit, as there is also a fabulous clock to wonder.

If you like your cathedrals tall, then this is definitely the one for you. When built, it was the tallest in Europe. Perhaps they exceeded their technology because after a few problems, it was never finished. However, what they did build is magnificent and worth the trip. I came up from Paris and it was a short trip from CDG... More

Well worth a visit whether or not you are of the faith. Take your camera. Free entry. The architecture is stunning. There is a small extra charge to view the magnificent clock.

Beauvais Cathedral is one of several enormous places of Christian worship in the city. It is central and set in a nicely appointed square with seating and plenty of eateries in view of the Cathedral. It is an imposing building and the gargoyles alone make it worth a look. The most interesting feature inside is the astronomical clock—few are still... More

The cathedral is a real wonder! We didn't know about it before our trip, we stayed in Beauvais because our flight was early in the morning and strolled through the town to pass the time. I was speechless when we saw it. It was a huge wander in a beautiful contrast with the small and tidy city of Beauvais. We... More

We knew nothing about Beauvais, just stopped by for lunch on our way from the airport. Finding such a magnificent cathedral was the highlight of our trip! Only down side was that there where no info about the church in english

A stunningly huge cathedral, gleaming white in the sunshine. No charge for entry, but there is a 5 Euro charge to have a talk and explanation of the old clocks.

Unfinished, propped up,repaired, magnificent .The soaring height is impressive, whilst feeling narrow . You can feel the triumph over despair, the sheer dogged determination to get God to look closer . There is a moving plea for peace and a feeling of genuine pride in the huge gothic building in this small very French town . Walking around the town the two Gothic Beauties... More

The Cathedral is presently being restored inside, but it did not spoil our visit. It is a vast place and the glass windows magnificent. The outside of the Cathedral had already been restored by being sand blasted so the fascia looked amazing. Well worth a visit.

What an amazing building have been here a few times to marvel at how this was built so long ago with basic equipment. Beauvais Town is worth staying in for a few days we have managed just that thanks to Ryanairs cheap flights from Dublin.
