We went on this tour for the purpose of visiting my husbands uncles grave. When we booked they asked for details. Upon meeting our guide Lea we were presented with a print out from research she had done about him. We were overwhelmed by this act of kindness. The tour was great and our guide was very knowledgable and also... More

We visited Villers Bretonneux and the battle fields of the WWI western front with Lea from Terres Memoire and had a wonderful day out. Her knowledge of the battles, the events leading up to and after the battles, and her excellent English skills were marvellous. This is a small group tour company and there were 14 of us, each of... We went on the Terre's de Memoire tour with Lea as our guide. With the four of us (including a 11 and 12 y.o.) the was only 14 people on a small bus. It allowed Lea to personalise the tour easily and provide everyone with a personal touch. Her commentary was excellent and provided an perfectly framed overview of the... More

We really enjoyed this tour, our guide Sylvestre was a warm and welcoming guide. His knowledge of this area and the war history was brilliant, exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend this tour, an emotional experience

Firstly, thank you to all the people who reviewed this tour company, reading all the impressive reviews was the reason for choosing Terres de Memoire. We had Sylvestre as our guide and he was brilliant, he had a wealth of knowledge and was humorous. He made you feel like you were driving around with an old friend you hadn't seen... More

We had a great tour of the battlefields and we learned a lot about the Australian and allies involvement in the war. Lea was a superb guide and it was important to our appreciation of the experience that the tour company only (except by negotiation) takes a small group (there were seven on our tour). A very moving day. Thanks... More

My partner and I recently did the 1 day tour with our guide, Lea and a great group of other Australians. My great grandfather is buried at Villers Brettoneux so for me this was a very important visit. Prior to arriving Lea had researched so much information about him, so much so that she even knew about an injury he... More

Silvestre, our guide, not only knew the historical details regarding the Somme battlefields, but went " the extra mile" to make our tour very special. He had a great sense of humour - and shared cultural insights along the way. His familiarity with (and liking for) Australians is evident We had elected to do the one day tour, and caught... More

We did a tour day tour of the WW1 Battlefields. Our guide was Lea. Lea really enhanced our experience of this tour, not only with her extensive knowledge of the history and geography of these WWW, events, but also by her passion and enthusiasm for the subject. We had a great group of fellow pilgrims which also enhanced our experience.... More
