The museum is set in a beautiful park in a modern building. The collection is medium sized and covers quite a wide range of modern pieces. Although the setting is great, I think the management is missing some imagination with the location of their cafe, set in a concrete courtyard in the center of the museum, whilst the administrative offices... This was an ok Museum. Small for a museum. But had a lot of Picasso paintings which were fantastic. A lot of areas were closed. I don't know if they were getting ready for some new exhibitions or renovations??? The gardens outside of the museum were beautiful with great scuptures.

This gallery is a little tricky to find by public transport, but it is do-able and worth the effort. It is in Villeneuve d:Ascq, one of the towns absorbed into Lille's suburbs. It is in a specially designed modernist building with a layout that is challenging without a map. Get a map! There is a substantial range of art in... More

Went for a day trip to the continent and decided to stop at this museum for the sake of my daughter who studies architecture. nice a pleasant place, very airy and lots of cleverly designed spaces, with light and shadow alternating from gallery to gallery. Was very pleased with the decision to see it and there were quite a few... More

This is a medium sized art gallery set in a park which was being enjoyed by a number of families. Some interesting sculptures outside and art for all tastes inside.

Worth the effort. A museum that has a lot to offer in a great park and building. The brut art I challenges our pre-conceptions about the medium.

It was quite a way out of the city and I made a mistake by getting a taxi there as a solo traveller (over £30 ). The hotel had told me that it was a little way out of the city centre, and I should have heeded their advice and got the Metro and bus. The museum itself is set... More

I wanted to go here for years and was not disappointed! I came by car and I do think to find it you need a navigation system since it is quite away from Lille. Beautifull building existing of two fused parts in small but nice sculpture garden. Spend 15 minutes extra to walk the garden. Sundayafternoon it is not very... More
