Were hoping for a good visit after reading all of the reviews here. Not disappointed. Very well organized. We went on a rainy Sunday morning. Not too busy. Displays are amazing with great variety of fish and other cool things to see. Large tanks to walk around, walk under, and then see from above. Our 6 year old loved every... More

This aquarium is one of the best I've been to. It doesn't have the grand scale of some aquariums - Singapore, Monterey, etc - but the habitats are immaculately designed and maintained, and much more creative and realistic than most - with well established corals in most tanks. We went in winter and it was not busy. It's not crazy... More

Really interesting, huge aquarium. Went for a day trip on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. Lots of displays that were different to the ones in the UK. Great layout. The town looked nice too, and you could probably fill a day here if combined with a visit to the historic town centre.

We visited "la mer est sur terre" Tuesday 22/12/2015 having thoroughly enjoyed a quiet visit without the usual flood of visitors you would normally get at the week-end. It was so nice to walk at our own pace and take in the beautiful creatures around us .The only regret is that we wished we had stayed longer but we had... More

This is a very large building housing not only aquariums but a small habitat for Penguins and a large pool containing sharks. There is also a simulated area of a maritime research vessel with some interactive displays. Multi lingual signage and English Guidebooks made visiting easy and the aquariums were clean and well looked after and featured a variety of... More

Fantastic sea life centre.. knocks spots off one's in UK. Short drive from Calais, can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there,; then enjoy the lovely beach or go into town. Boys will love being the captain in the ship simulator.. all will love getting to stroke the rays...and the 4d cinema. Loads to see and do with a good... More

Well worth a visit, we loved it. There is lots to see from Jellyfish to Sharks, Penguins and Sealions and lots and lots of different fish. Make sure you check for offers as always available, we only paid half price. Allow at least half a day for a visit.

Well worth a visit if you have 2 to 3 hours spare. Not just about seeing the fish etc but also about conservation and the oceans
