If you are staying within an hour or two drive from Boulogne, do go to Nausicaa. It'a a fascinating, educational collection of marine animals of all shapes and sizes from all over the world, beautifully presented and reasonably priced considering the complexity of the installation. Kept 2 grandchildren very interested for 4 hours. Easy parking. 3 snack bars. As their... More

Excellent value for money. All the information was in English and French and you are able to view all the animals at your own pace. Plenty of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. Toilet facilities and disabled access. The best experience for the children on our visit was stroking some of the fish and watching the sharks in... More

We really enjoyed our day with the jellies, fish coral, sharks, penguins, seahorses, turtles and other marine life. The sea show was terrific with seals jumping up and diving like dolphins! Lunch was quite nice in the cafe, especially the cake! You can take in as much or as little as you like, as there is a lot of information... More

It is always worrying when the gift shop is the most impressive part of a visit! The layout of the site was a bit confusing until my 4 year pointed out we needed to follow the numbers. The aquariums were less impressive than ones I have seen in the Uk. It was also not particularly child friendly with our 2... More

Spent an interesting morning here, as there is a lot to see. It is a mixture of aquarium and sea display centre with lots of information on the sea environment presented in imaginative ways. All the information panels provide an english translation alongside the french. There was also a SeaLion show at noon that should not be missed.

This is a large modern building purpose-built on the sea front, and has been well thought-out and executed. Covering everything to do with water and the seas : Environment, protection, history, species .. so very interesting. Separate areas display fishes according to the geographical regions. Watching the fish and sea lions being fed was magical. Very child-friendly with excellent displays.... More

My wife and I visited the aquarium on a Sunday visit to the coast. It is a nice aquarium. Bigger than I expected and very informative displays, in both French and English. Would be good for kids as well. A little pricey at 20€.
