Very well designed aquarium. Nice to do with the kids. Very accessible views and explanations. Nice restaurants and bars amid all animals. We were there with a small baby and a stroller and all went perfectly fine.

This was a good way to spend a wet morning in Boulogne. There is plenty of information, some interesting exhibits and the layout is mostly good although we did struggle to find some of the sections. The sealion show was good, there was no demeaning of the animals and there was a good commentary. However the end was astonishingly abrupt... More

We visited the Nauticaa this morning as it was wet and raining. There were my parents, myself and my 3 young children who are 5,3 and 1. I was expecting something similar to Sealife in Birmingham, maybe an hour walking round, boy was I wrong! We were there for 3.5 hours, my girls were so excited the whole time and... More

There is a lot to learn in this aquarium. There are many marine species on display, and a lot of information everywhere to read, some videos too. Accent is also placed on climate change, how it affects people, nature, and actions that are being taken in different islands. If you are visiting with kids you won't be able to read... More

We went as a family of 4. The aquarium is huge and very well kept. The fish are beautiful and the shows are excellent- it's well worth a visit!! Appeals to adults and children. It's the largest aquarium we have been to so far. The cafe is not great, with no vegetarian options. All the food is low quality microwave... More

We went here with an 11 and 9 year old. They loved it. The displays are brilliant with excellent use of technology and decor. Best I've ever been to. We walked fairly quickly around and didn't read lots of the displays and it took us 3 hours. We booked online but there were no queues when we went 19/8/15. Well... More

We loved this museum. The styling is brilliant. The building itself, the layout of the exhibition, the educational part are all excellent. Just went to the famous aquarium in Genova. Nice but Boulogne is so much more impressive!

...but now it truly looks a little run down. As a big fan of marine life, the diversity and thorough explanations provided on each species were a treat at the Nausicaa. You really get a lot of info and can learn a lot of things, which must be very inspirational to all generations visiting the aquarium. At the same time,... More

We had the opportunity to visit this attraction whilst on holiday and it is certainly a large aquarium but there is a lot of space around each tank or area therefore giving an illusion of being far bigger than it actually is. The sea lion show is ok but is entirely in French, (I know, it's in France so to... More

Nausicaa is an impressive and beautiful aquarium, and quite a significant one in Europe. As we had never heard of it, we were surprised to discover it, only half an hour away from our holiday address in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region in France. You can easily spend an entire day, strolling at your own pace along the plotted route. The fish... More
