We were in a small party of around 12 people and were the only English people. Cem our guide was really helpful filling in the gaps to our embarrassingly poor French with a stunning translation. He brought the place alive - a fascinating visit

A great way to spend an hour in the town. The tour guide 'aurera'? (Sorry if this is spelt incorrectly) was superb and pati nt in explaining everything in french and English for the small group of us. We didn't get chance to go to the Wellington tour, but will return to go there. It is an interesting story and... More

Had no idea these tunnels existed so this excellent tour was a complete revelation. We bought a combined ticket for this, the Belfry and the Wellington Quarry. Guide was informative and pleasant. Sadly not suitable for mobility-impaired.

Not accessible for everyone. Very damp and wet and low, low doorways in a few spots. Get the combo pass and do the Bove and Bellfroi first. Follow that with the Wellington Quarry then Vimy. It will give you a good overview of the prelude to the Vimy battle. Our guide was excellent and spoke French and English well.

This is a really fun tour through the grottos excavated below the city. Our guide was cheerful, helpful and informative even though nobody seems to know where the word Boves comes from.

An excellent tour into the old stone quarries under the Place de Heroes. Fluent bi-lingual - French/English guide.

This is a really interesting tour, and I don't understand the criticism on here for it given it is less that five euros each, and is full of interesting information. Definitely a good way to fill just under an hour, and a good insight into the history of Arras.

Well worth doing, though history buffs will enjoy Wellington Quarry far more. In any case, this tour explores the history of Arras as a chalk quarry from Roman times up to the 20th century. As one can imagine, the tunnels have a long history! The guide was quite good, though I'm thankful I speak French since her English versions of... More

We had a combined ticket for the Boves and Beffroi. Tickets are timed and we were greated at the appointed time by our guide who was friendly and knowledgeable. She made the safety announcements in French and asked if there were any English in the group - she then did the same talk in fluent English. At each point during... More
